I just read the President’s remarks at the White House website. I’m pretty sure I got the same speech from my father. In fact, I’m pretty sure just about every child in America has already heard this from someone.

Not sure of the timeline but they showed a clip of Greer on the 11pm news saying what I paraphrased. I’m in Florida (don’t hold it against me) so when the local bigwig wingnuts talk they usually get airtime.

I might be ridiculed for this, but I really think Obama is doing America a grave misjustice with this speech. When I was a kid, we got the “don’t be a fool, stay in school” speech, too. And because of that, I have one thing to say to Barrack:

I think the Drudge headline was calculated to go from OUTRAGE at the concept to marginalization.
I would think the radicals would be embarassed when the playback of Bush Sr. asked the kids to write to him,in almost the same words as Obama used; one woman when shown the tape said,Well, I don’t want anyone telling my kid what to do.
If Obama told them to honor their parents some of the radicals would consider that blasphmey, accusing him of acting like God. They are more to be pitied than censored!
