Too late for Angie & Me. We’ll be passing through on 5 October.
Specifically, we’ll be passing through Columbus and spending the night in the Dayton area on 5 October; on 15 October we should be heading back via Toledo after a weekend stopover in Grand Rapids.
I posted yesterday, but I guess it was spit back out at me.
Put me down as a MAYBE and a big fat MAYBE at that. I have a job now and my attending will mostly depend on my finances. Certain people wouldn’t mind so damned much if I was coughing up the dough to go myself.
This is all assuming that I can crash at Casa de Thinksnow. I’ll keep you posted. Same Brat Time. Same Brat Channel.
I’ve never been to a gathering of Dopers before. I’ve written it on my calendar.
Just tell me I don’t have to shave again.
Count me and my son in, if we can get a ride from Cleveland.
vanilla I will schedule my life around you for this one. You have a ride here.
AND a ride home too, I hope!
Um, then I guess it depends on if I can crash at Cuarto de hotel de Thinksnow…
I’m in.
I’m also in Columbus, and I’ve got some free floorspace if a somebody or a couple of somebodies need it.
We’ll see if I can free up a weekend. I wouldn’t count on it, unfortunately.
I’ll say maybe too. The 2nd of Nov. is much better than the 26th. I return from safari on the Oct. 23 and plan on spending the weekend recovering from jet lag and getting ready to go back to work. If there is any money left in the piggy bank after the trip, I’ll be there.
I’ll be driving from Chicago, so if any other Chi dopers wanna car pool, let me know!
It appears the Blue Jackets are in town that weekend 11/2 – (Dallas on Friday & Buffalo on Sunday) - so may be able to talk Mr. Pol into going … are tickets relatively easy to get?
Are there any specific activities planned ? (besides Dirty Jenga)
Either weekend is fine with me. I would like to see the Blue Jackets, though, if anybody is interested in doing that.
I figure it mostly goes without saying, but if there’s any NoVa doper(s) who want to ride up with me, speak now or soonish and I should be able to give you a ride.
So, did we finally decide on weekend of Nov 2 for this? And if so, who is organizing the group seating for the Blue Jackets game?
Jessica is.
Edward The Head: You’re more than welcome to carpool out with me if you’d like. I’d probably head out on Friday afternoon/evening and leave Sunday around noonish. I’m also up for splitting a hotel room with you and/or anybody else who’d like in on it.
This applies to any other MAD’s too. If you can get to Harrisburg, PA we can carpool out in one of my sleds.
Sure, I’ll organize it… Y’all send me all your money and I’ll buy tickets.
So is the 2nd definite?
Also, last year flights from Chicago were very cheap (<$100). If I end up coming (questionable at this point), I’m probably flying in.
