Ohhhh, looky, a springy MMP!

I did not click on Mama Tiger’s link. I have learned self-control and restraint over the years. I still send you much love and hugs, though, Mama.

Thanks for all the compliments, ya’ll! Yes, Mr. SCL is a cutie - doesn’t look 50, does he?

My seat on the glass has resulted in an interesting Booster Club tradition. At the end of each season, the BC presents plaques to the players with an engraved section and a 8 x 10 action photo. The tradition is that I have to be in the background of at least one of the photos. So there are pictures of me - with varying hair length - hanging all over Canada!

Playoffs start tonight - this round is a best three out of five series and I bet we can take it in three…

FIFTY?
No. Absolutely no.

Do you store him in formol every night or something?

I’m serious. Fifty. I think there is a reason he won’t let me in the attic - he has a picture stored up there…

Busy. Driving by…

SCL : How you doin’???

rosie: Thoughts and prayers heading to everyone from Casa Bus.

Everyone else - appropriate waves, and noises as needed.
I should pull my head out of my tail later tonight, or tomorrow.

Hey, spats - did you hear there was a body found at RPI? I just got an email that classes were canceled and had to go look for more info. Not much being said about it yet, but it looks like a shooting. Yikes.

{{{rosie}}}

**MamaTigs ** - two words: Bubble wrap! Not only will it cushion the fall, it’ll make cool noises on impact. Trust me!

yay, Bobbio!!

Hesh yo’ mouf, swampy, you scamp!

For you with work issues - blah! I know whereof you speak.

For you with allergy issues - ick! I know whereof you speak.

**SCL ** - dang, that pic threw me for a loop! I didn’t think youse guys were in your 30s. Guess good clean living pays off, huh? You should see da **bear ** - there’s an advertisement for hard living!!

That’s all I’ve got for now. Class tonight, hour off early tomorrow. Who’s up for Monday??

Yay Bobbio! Do you get another jake uniform for that?

I would like to point out that I did not start this week’s TMI binge. Is it my fault kai mentioned bear meat? I think not! Therefore, y’all should be tellin’ her to hesh up. She egged it on. Oh, and so did mika a little bit. So, it ain’t my fault! So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

Supper tonight is chicken parmesan. I cheat and use sauce from a jar. It’s good though.

Ok, I have been on two job interviews for jobs I’m really not all that innerested in but would do. One involves personnel stuff and one is in case management. Lucky for me I got 'em arranged back to back so I just went from one to the other. So, that’s my exciting day.

Oy. My mother is definitely feeling put out. Our family friend the nurse is out of town for a few days, so she told her sister, also a nurse, to go check up on my mom today. When she did, she was a bit concerned about her possibly developing a blood clot in her leg, so they ended up calling the doctor in and he confirmed that she needs testing tomorrow. So she’s been put on 100% bed rest.

But what’s got her most upset? Right before they put her on 100% bed rest, they gave her a laxative.

Lapin Blanc and I took the dogs out in the back yard and brushed them thoroughly again today, and got off even more hair than yesterday, if such a thing is possible. If you want to find our house in a satellite photo, just look for the one whose yard is not green but is instead dog-hair-colored.

Is it bedtime yet? If I had any get up and go today, it got up and went before I ever got up. :frowning:

Congrats on the kewl new job, Bobbio!

Well, I KINDA caught up. I think I’m glad I missed some of misbeavingbear back there though…

Sister, rugrats and my mum are downtown now, visiting sister’s friends there. Outta my hair in other words. When they all drove away last night, the Wife & I sat on the couch, watched the cats come out of the woodwork (my cats are NOT kid-friendly cats) and sighed heavily.

Tommorow is the last day of spring break - AKA: “Goofing Off Week”. I’m off work Monday (Opening Day, I’ll be at the Sox game), but next week is the week I break in the new secretary. Tomorrow, Outgoing Secretary and I have to sit and get some last minute stuff out of the way, then a group of us are doing lunch and I’m gonna do the “don’t let the door hit you…” on her right afterwards.

In a friendly way I mean.

This post is especially for taxi cause she has expressed much concern about my “appreciation” posts.

Supper tonight was, if I may ever so modestly say so, tres nummy! The chicken parmesan could not have been any better if I’d stepped on it. That’s an ol’ southern expression: (whatever) couldn’t have been any better if you stepped on it! Ok, so I have no idea how feet make stuff better, still… I’m southern and I use them good ol’ southern expressions. Deal. Anywho, I did a crisp green salad with this basil/garlic vinegarette salad dressing I found at the store. Made by Wishbone in case anybody’s interested. Then the chicken parmesan. Dang! That was gooooood! Accompanied, of course, by a very nice white wine. White wine with chicken or fish donchaknow! Desert was some Blue Bell vanilla ice cream with strawberries (big hunks of frozen strawberries in it) with a strawberry sauce I made from a pint of fresh strawberries, a half cup sugar, and a quarter cup of water and then simmered. Kinda like a simple syrup with sliced strawberries. That was poured over the ice cream while the sauce was still warm. And… it has been declared that “appreciation” shall be shown shortly.

Ok, gotta go see about some bear meat.

Job? Naaah. It’s a hobby, to keep me out of the whorehouses. I couldn’t do fire and rescue professionally, 'cuz I couldn’t afford the pay cut.

00Ursus, new duds eventually.

Glad you seem to have survived the visit, MBG.

Sorry to hear about Mom’s blood clot, BioTigs. When will Lapin Blanc be going out to visit?

Wish I could take a vacation day tomorrow! ::Looks enviously at Puggy::

Hope the job situation gets straightened out fast, Nava. Amazing how they want you badly as soon as you don’t want them. Silly people. How soon would France and/or Spain happen?

Congrats on the good news, Bobbio! Nice to hear that things are going so well.

Bubble wrap. Hee heeee.

I refuse to believe that Mr. SCL is 50.

Any chance of getting into a better job situation, Meeks? That sounds icky.

How was the party, Tel? I was out of the office all day yesterday and was informed upon my arrival this morning that everyone had a lovely time and that clean-up wasn’t too bad.

Gotta go buy some antihistamines and decongestant…

Truly an exciting pursuit.

I received my tax return today. I owe a little more than I expected, but not too much. I don’t know why I always owe the state three times what I owe the IRS. It doesn’t seem to work out the opposite way, though. I never get a state refund, even if my federal refund is in the 4 figures. Whatever. I also got board meeting minutes to sign off on from the family, so I can continue to mitigate their tax liability. Yay. My joy knows no bounds. It’s my annual reminder that, no matter what I do, as long as I’m alive, I will never escape, not even when they’re all dead, since the trust is set up in perpetuity. Money? Oh, there’s money. It’s just set up so that the money will never, ever pay out, at least not to anyone alive at the moment. My trust will allow funds to leave 21 years after the death of my last grandchild (and everyone else of that, and all preceding generations.) My great-grandchildren, should I have any, will inherit a tidy sum. If I die without issue, it reverts to the rest of the family. So someone’s great-grandchildren will benefit, someday.

I made the mistake of then going to the grocery store. I should never shop when I’m mad, especially for groceries. I was writing a pit rant in my head, and I think I terrorized everyone in Safeway, not to mention spent twice as much as usual for groceries. I have, let’s see, cinnamon rolls, chocolate éclairs (from the bakery, not frozen), frozen pizza, two gallons of ice cream (rocky road and strawberry), and sundae fixings, among other assorted junk food. I’ll shove some through the CD drive if you want some.

Dance class was cancelled because of this suicide at RPI Campus! The one Taxi mentioned, but I didn’t think anything of it.

i got the news late. I usually pick up a friend on the way and bring him over…this time when I got there he told me. He told me he was packing up to move. A little hesitantly…for I don’t know him that well yet…I offered to help.

So I sat with him and packed his stuff with him, and then we even filled up my car and brought a whole carload of stuff over to the new place. He’s moving in with his girl, and neither of them have a car. And his (now ex) roomate was really sniping at him, in front of me, the whole time. Uncomfortable!

The wake was very sad. Her family is very large, and we (the chorus) have met most of them at one time or another over the years. Her brother has been in many of our shows. But of late, he’s been suffering from osteoporousis and has shrunk considerably. Very sad to see.
Members of another chorus that she directed before us also showed up. Her eldest daughter spoke, as did her husband of over well 50 years. That was moving enough. Then we all got up to sing her signature song - “My Romance”. None of us made it through the whole song. I am very blue. Our current director showed up a little later to pay her respects - she’d said when she got the call yesterday morning, she was sure it was going to be the hospital about her sister.
I am going to sleep now.

Sounds awfully sad, rosie. I’m sure her family was glad to hear your group sing, even if you couldn’t finish the song. Hugs.

And more hugs for Jahdra for dealing with the family ick.

Sounds like your day wasn’t all that great either, Meeks. So hugs to you too.

Time for bed. (Work was stressful today and I’m tired.)

Home from work, back to work at 0600. Hugs, drugs, (Hi pugs!) to all who need it.

SCL, 50? :dubious: I was born at night, but not last night.

I swear he is 50. March 10, 1957 - same birthdate as Osama Bin Lauden (sp?) but much nice and handsomer.

I am sad. First playoff game and we lost 2-1 in double overtime. Damnit. Oh well - we’ll take the next three. It is a 3 out of 5 series.

Mr. SCL went to the game with me tonight; he hasn’t been to many games this season because of his work schedule. I don’t think he’ll be going to any more playoff games. He may be bad luck. Or the guys just aren’t used to seeing any males over the age of 12 sitting in that row!

Darling, that’s not saying much. A *rock *is better looking than OBL.
