I’ve been lurking for quite awhile, thought I’d step out from behind the curtain…
I’m from Texas and quite old so please excuse the unentended oopsies…
Hi!
Hi!
Back in university I met a girl named Elisabeth Ohi, who made quite an impression on me. I saw your title and my heart fluttered a little.
Sorry. Carry on. Be welcome!
Howdy, Ma’am.
Welcome from one old codger to another. Folks here are very understanding of errors in grammar, punctuation, etc., so feel free to post to your heart’s content.
Hiya! Happy to have you here.
Lorene From one OF to another, welcome.
I was in the Air Force in the '60s. I lived in Amarillo for a few years, where you can watch your dog run away for three days. The neighbors come over to watch, since it’s the most exciting thing that’s happened all month.
Then, later I lived in Austin. I liked the hill country better.
Bwahahaha.
No they’re not. They’re anal. They’re Grammar Nazis. They’ll rip you to shreds if you make even a minor mistake, regardless of the rest of the content of your post.
But, hey, welcome all the same Lorene89095. If you can avoid the vultures, you’ll feel right at home here!
Hi Lorene! (Or should that be Ohi Lorene! Or even, Ojai, Lorene!)
I do think most folks are more tolerant of typos than of text speak or lack of capitalization or lack or paragraphing. I know I certainly am. But I’m nice, dammit!
Welcome, Lorene!
Howdy partner!
(Isn’t that how all you Texas cowboys and cowgirls talk to each other?)
Hello Lorene and welcome to our community/ forum.
Welcome!
You’re not old; you’re experienced!
(…and the people who don’t have 3 page resumes are just jealous)
Welcome!
I’m 51 and will flirt shamelessly with old ladies, but I’m just a tease. Nothing like seeing a woman light up with delight when you tell her that she is as cute as her sister, when it is obviously her daughter and watch daughter shoot dagger eyes! Welcome aboard.
My Mom, 83, loves the status of being an old lady. How about you? (She’s not into the aches and pains other than to never shut about them.)
I do enjoy people holding doors for me and getting cans off the top shelf or that maddening package from the back/bottem of the freezer case. I don’t enjoy the memory lapses or the sorta PTSD freakouts that happen. Chemo does that. Stage 4 colon cancer does those things…
If anyone wants to pick on a dislexic 71 year old,feel free… I simply won’t respond…
This is the oldest I’ve ever been and,so far,has been quite a trip… Still learning
Welcome.
Texan here also but I live in Arkansas now.
I have a bazillion relatives in North Central Texas.
Going ion 72 years old.
Everything I know or did is only note worthy because it is all in Museums.
Have fun in spite of the jerks.
