Ohio State-Michigan game tomorrow!

Thank Og that’s over! I’m a loyal Buckeye fan but this game always makes me nervous. Experience has taught me to be wary of That Team Up North regardless of how they’ve looked in any other game that season.

That’s for sure. It’s a cliche, but you can throw the records out when the two teams meet.

I let Ivygirl watch the last three minutes, and she started celebrating. I made her go outside, spin around three times, and spit.

It must have worked…they got a first down.

We call Michigan That Team Up North…what do they call OSU?

To paraphrase an old Ohio State joke, we can’t tell you. Then we’d have to explain it to each of you.

I could reply with a witty comeback, but you just lost a game and possibly a head coach, so I will pull a Tressel, giggle obligingly, and let it go.

To be only the second person on this thread to do this. O-H!

Meh. I’m not broken up about it. It was a good game. I’ve wanted Carr out for a while.

To the above poster: Shush up, you.

I’m not terribly invested…I’m just along for the ride with Ivylad, but I saw those two Michigan girls *crying *on camera. Crying!

It’s a fricking football game! Cry over Muslim women getting whipped for the horrible crime of allowing themselves to get raped…cry over 200 puppies pulled out of a stinking rundown house…cry when your baby goes off to kindergarten…but over a football game?

What about muslim women being whipped…in a football game? Oh, wait…the game is in Columbus next year…

Why should I shush? We’ve shut out the MI senior players 4 years running.

Look, MI is a great team. They’re our big rival. They fought hard, but we won. Why is it so hard to admit we were the better team this year?

Well, I’ve got the “injury” crutch to lean on…
To be honest, I’m glad it was a good game. Now that it’s been done, I hope Ohio State weasels into the national championship picture and kicks some ass.

Um, weasels? How about marches in boldly, based upon the following scenario: Kansas loses to Missouri, Missouri loses to Oklahoma, and LSU loses (finally) to Tenessee, Georgia or Florida, whichever one gets to meet them in the SEC championship? This year, damn near anything is possible, even likely!

Script Ohio!

I have a feeling that the Big 12 teams end up screwing themselves out of a bid. I can see Oklahoma losing to OK State or Texas Tech, and then beating Kansas/Missouri in the championship game.

How about they just stick with tradition & weasel their way into a national championship game via weak schedule, then roll over & play dead for a decent football team.

Tis tradition, after all.

Did you sign up as a guest just to bitch about Ohio State’s schedule? Go start a thread about how unfair it is that the SEC has to play a championship game.

Michigan got the crap kicked out of 'em today. Tressel threw the ball twice in the second half. Twice. He started running the clock out right after that 62 yard TD run, still at the beginning of the third quarter. Michigan’s defense held up pretty well, but when your offense can’t even muster 100 total yards, that is a beatdown, plain and simple.

I was disappointed when Lloyd brought Henne back in. The offense seemed to have just a little bit of a spark when Mallett came in (i.e., we got a first down), and then he got yanked. Henne was terrible today. It couldn’t have hurt to try something else out. Mallett may have had a bad game last week, but he has shown a penchant for throwing the long ball this season. Coulda been just the kick in the pants we needed.

I’m just glad it’s over.

Uh, that would be a no. If you’d like to put forth a little effort, you’d see pretty quickly that this is not the first thread I’ve participated in. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I don’t think it is unfair that the SEC plays a championship game. I wouldn’t trade that game for anything. Doesn’t change the fact that Ohio State got owned the last (several) time(s) they played a decent football team.

Congratulations. Ohio State that in common with Appalachian State.

Ohio State is 33-4 over the last 3 years, including bowl games. So your saying they played 33 bad teams and 4 decent teams?

Why is it that other teams are allowed to lose a game (pretty much everyone except Kansas and Hawaii so far this year), and they just had a bad game? But when Ohio State loses, it’s because they got owned?

I’d like to point out that I said this before the Oklahoma Texas Tech game started.

I-O !

Fugazi pretty much covered this. How do you define decent?
