OK Alabama

Sah! Will follow
Just to clarify MrDibble lurid sex fantasies about me penetrating a Cactaceae plant, followed by Budget Player Cadet sticking his head into the newly created orfice (some sort of weird bukkake?) is fine?

Exactly. Being nice to them doesn’t help. Ignoring them doesn’t help. Trying to educate them about the reasons they shouldn’t do racist things doesn’t help. Shooting them is illegal and wouldn’t help. They have not reasoned themselves into the position they are in but have arrived there by dint of petty-mindedness, hatred and fear, and will not be persuaded out of it by any means.

At least pointing out their racism has the virtue of being an honest approach.

Hell, AK, I can’t help but keep chuckling about how I intimated the entire state of Alabama was in, or descended from, Klan members… but what got some people upset is calling a man who hits on 14yo’s a “pedophile”.

Have you tried being nice to them? That seems to be the main advice. Be nice to them, and they’ll stop being racist, they are only racist because you (and I do mean you, personally, kaylasdad99, racism is all your fault, because you weren’t nice to a not-yet-racist once.) aren’t nice enough to them.

Mine:
Moore 51
Jones 40
Others 9

Alabama thinking is in a very odd universe.

It would have been
Strange 62
Jones 36
Others 2
-if Strange had won the primary.

From AL.com re: Moore vs Jones vs trump.

"The president is more popular than either candidate with a 55 percent/40 percent favorable/unfavorable rating…

Got to love Alabamians.

55% of them see trump favorably? That speaks volumes.

But its okay that he was banned from the mall for creeping on girls there, right?

And there’s the proof that Mr. Trump really IS playing 9-D chess.

No, flyer wants video’s.

I guess Alabama doesn’t have exit polls. Not that they’re accurate, anyway.

Sure they do. Whenever I meet someone from Alabama, I always ask why they exited.

I really thought this was going to be a link to this story.

Then there’s this:

I was gonna make a similar joke, but I just couldn’t bring myself to. I’m glad you stepped up to the plate.

He stoops to concur.

You calling someone else homophobic is probably the most hypocritical thing I’ve ever seen on these boards, although the closest competition is your comments on race. People like you are the reason that otherwise sensible people end up voting for scumbags like Moore because, no matter how much they may despise who he is or what he’s done, they correctly recognise that he is a better person than you, and less dangerous than you would be were you ever to get power.

You need to learn that, if you want anything close to your cause to ever succeed, you need to shut the fuck up and distance yourself from it as fast as humanly possible.

I mean… look. How does this keep happening?

So, a year+ ago, another GOPer just happened to be in Russia, noted their electronic notes system, said “we have to implement lessons learned”, now has digital voting… and yesterday he moved to have the digital votes erased.

Lesson learned!

This is where in the scary movie you get that musical sound effect that suggests dark and dangerous foreshadowing. (…dun-dun-DUNH!..) Don’t go up those stairs! No! Don’t open that door, didn’t you hear the fucking music?

Slightly off topic, but to those who keep positing that the southern US is more racist than any other region, this articleand map based on Google data shows a different story:

Racism is tough to measure, and Google’s methodology is not air tight. It’s based on web searches and only reflects racism against blacks. Regions in the west may show more racism if Hispanics or Native Americans were included, for instance.

For instance, by counting the number of known hate groups in each state, this articledetermines the top 5 most racist states are California, Florida, Texas, New York and Pennsylvania. So, not surprisingly, there are more hate groups in states with the largest populations. Put another way, these 5 states make up about a third of the US population and house about a third of US hate groups. Racism is everywhere people are.
