Ok, I'll start this week's MMP

" thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it. "

Wow.

Back pain status is moderately annoying.

As soon as the pain meds kick in, I shall join the lovely, talented and intelligent Mrs. Plant v.3.0 who has gone to bed to be able to toil at an unG-dly hour at her dark, satanic mill.

I read this as “our resident ursine is in heat”:wink: But only OYKW knows for sure.

Irked, came home. 25 hours of irk till a day off.

The wild partay bear is home from an evenin’ of wild partayin’. I mean, it’s 9:15 p.m. and I just got back to da cave. I know y’all are shocked, shocked, I say at my out until all hours partayin’ ways!

I’ll catch up on stuff later. Right now I need to go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Jesus Christ.

I don’t believe that Swampy does anything except cook, eat and break his thermostat.

The cats were out again and have been returned to Durance Vile.
Everyone is crated, in the cat room or asleep save I.
Rosie: do your cats climb onto lamp shades?

I first read ursine as urine :smack:

I need to stop screwing off and get to irk.

Add me to the list of those who would pick Berkeley over Hayward for the same price. Actually, I’d probably be willing to pay more for Berkeley even if I was working in San Jose.

yeah… I just wish my car got better than 20 mpg.

I have but one kitteh and no lamp shades, She has, however, completely shredded my big comfy recliner.

So the crap that’s been going around at work has finally caught up with me. I’m thinking the 24-hour crud I had last Sunday was actually part one, as I’m now getting gluey coughs, trying to bring stuff up. So, my chest hurts, I’m wheezing, and tomorrow morning, I’m singing a solo at church. >sigh< Of course I am. I suspect I’m going to be hitting the inhaler a lot.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Feel better, Roo.

Good morning, mumpers! It was my best friend’s birthday yesterday so a bunch of us went out for lunch at a local pub which has a slightly more interesting than usual menu. I’d looked at it online earlier in the week and had already decided on the wild boar and chorizo burger, definitely a good choice. Anyway, we were there for quite some time before I drove her home and the others went their separate ways.

After that, I made chilli for dinner and then spent the evening on the sofa watching downloaded telly stuff. Today I am off to the petrol station to fill up the car and put some air in the tyres as I want to get that done before I drive to my doting parent on Tuesday. Then I have to brave the hell of the supermarket for some last bits and pieces, and then I am shutting the door on the outside world until hexmas day.

I have to make some mince pies for mum, and I have a desire to make bread so that will be happening too. I’ve got a recipe book from the Nordic Bakery in London that has an interesting loaf of bread containing fennel seeds, orange and almonds…it’s just begging to be baked this week.

Other than that, I have limes so there may be Margaritas tonight but, I promise, not until after 5 o’clock!

Happy Sunday, everyone…and get well soon all you sickies!

Nothing like waking up to a cold house with a pounding headache that says “It’s gonna be a heckuva day!!!” :stuck_out_tongue: My sick seems to be degrading into a series of individually annoying symptoms that take turns. I started with the headache and a sore throat. The throat pain has subsided, but now my nose is in the drippy mode. There was a sneezing fit in there also. I’ve eaten, so I’m hoping that will take care of the headache.

I hate feeling like this! Plus the house is a total wreck because I just haven’t felt up to anything beyond finding sustenance or liquids or the TV remote. Today I may force myself to toss all the puppy toys in a pile, then run the vacuum. I was hoping to do some laundry - let’s see how I handle the stairs.

I’m going to need to venture out sooner or later - besides being out of milk, I’m running low on tissues, and I don’t own many long-sleeved shirts, so that’s not an option.

I don’t want to feel icky any more. I want to feel human. I want to breathe and swallow like a normal person!! I want to feel safe if I’m more than 2’ from a tissue box. I want my life back!!!

Yeah, yeah, Happy Sunday.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a cold 29 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 62. Tomorrow and Christmas day are predicted to be rainy. Joy. I get to drive to ye olde hometowne and back in rain. Rain and Christmas are not to unusual here in Jawja. I remember a lot of rainy Christmas days growin’ up. “I’m dreamin’ of a wet Christmas! Just like the ones I used to know!” If I were more creative I’d go on but I’m not so I won’t.

MOOOOOOM feel better soonest! Oh and yay for good news on BIL!

Jim I forgot to comment but great news about your friend’s daughter. May the news just keep gettin’ better and better.

I am not in heat, just so y’all know. However, when OYKW returns on Wednesday, that may change.

Feel better roo!

BooFae that bread does sound nummy.

Have fun cookie bakin’ with the HFUN kids StickyBuns!

Now I need more caffiene. I’s still full from all the munchin’ at yestiddy’s soiree so tummy is not rumbly. Purtification for deheathenization shall also commence at some point.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

awake since 4am so time for a nap

The dogs wanted out, and it sounded as though Perseus and Ginny had torn the sink off the wall and were bouncing it up and down, but all is well.

Guess what??? Irish Boyfriend proposed to HazelNutCoffee!!!

The question is 5 o’clock where?

Mooommm, TP can double as tissues; don’t you have two cases or so in emergency supply?

It’s 5 O’clock here! Well, almost 5, but close enough!
Pass me a margarita through the internet, please?

Hugs, Yays, Boos, etc… read partially and retained little; mostly – all you sickies get better; it ain’t right to be under the weather for Christmas!

Last night, did I really go out drinking, and then to a concert, with an old Turkish university professor and his friends?
Answer: yes.
Good times.

Many of my facebook friends are posting pictures of angels in Christmas-y settings - I have to fight the urge to comment “Don’t Blink!” on each one!
