I enjoy the show too, but they tend to pick a side and then find idiots for the other side. In the case of PETA that would not have been too hard. 
That comes across like it’s a cite from the SDMB or Snopes, which it is neither. They’re a couple performers who hardly rate as revealing the straight dope on anything, or pretending to be unbiased.
It appears you didn’t mean it that way, or subsequent posters didn’t take it that way, so that’s cool.
They are, at best, a source that can lead one to reputable sources, I admit. Much like the Daily Show and the Colbert Report, while amusing, aren’t sources one sites to bolster a point in serious debate.
But yeah, to see their bias in action, I recommend checking out their episode on NASA.. They’re rather obviously fawning. Mind you, it’s still fun to watch.
How the SDMB has changed. 9 years ago when I flamed PETA on this board I was attacked on here, attacked off-board on other message boards, and even got e-mail death threats from “funny and kewl” Dopers. :rolleyes:
So are you nostalgic for those times or happy to see them gone?
