I too find Roli to be incredibly annoying. I hope that through its repeated posting we will all become desensitized to its presence and that in time the pain will go away and we can all be happy.
Regretfully, I have on a few rare occasions summoned the Roli, including in this thread. Note that the appearance of Roli signalled the death of the thread.
By dint of months of intense observation, I conclude that in political debates, :rolleyes: is more popular among those who adhere to left-wing views.
In a similarly scientifically stunning* revelation, I have observed that those who sardonically refer to opponents as “someone of your ilk” or who pose rhetorical questions and then haughtily respond “I think not” are generally right-wingers.
*I can alliterate with the best of 'em, Joe Lieberman.
