Ooh! Ooh1 I’m a beader, too, catflea12! Post some pics!
I have a show coming up the weekend before Thanksgiving, so I am in major production mode and have cranked out a lot in the past few days. I brought my camera home to take pics, then realized I failed to bring the camera cable to download the pics onto my computer. :smack:
At the moment, I’m crocheting on a sideways shell baby blanket for a friend who is expecting her first baby. She’s decided not to find out the baby’s gender, so I picked this yarn so that the blanket would be relatively neutral. I’d have preferred something less pastel, but the selection at Zellers was craptacular as far as finding more than one skein in any neutral colour and there’s no LYS nearby.
The baby shower is at the end of the month, so I’m sneaking in every opportunity I can get to add a few more stitches… on the bus, in the subway, during my lunch break, while watching TV in the evening, and so on. Fingers crossed that it’ll be finished on time!
Once that’s done, I’ll be making this hat for a friend as her birthday slash Xmas gift… not so much panic on that front, since the pattern is so easy that I can probably finish it up over a couple of days. I’ve got a nice eggplant purple yarn that should be perfect.
Oh, and Walpurgis, is the pattern for the crocheted Daleks anywhere online? I’d love to make a couple of those for the Dr Who freaks in my life.
The only Xmas gifts that I’m working on are a crocheted hat/scarf combo and a quilted tea cozy.
Currently, I’m stamping the sentiments inside my (hand crafted) holiday cards and working on matching heritage scrapbooks. I’m also sketching plans for a lap quilted table set and a beaded set of parrot earrings.
