I’ve narrowed the problem down to Chrome. On MS Edge no problems, in Chrome I load the choose an account page but it’s just an image with no links. Privacy and Security settings for accounts.google.com doesn’t flag anything as forbidden. And it was working as of four or five days ago and I can’t think of anything I’ve changed.
Try logging in on an incognito window. If that works, the issue may be a cookie.
Incognito worked. So I’ll try clearing cookies for that page…
Now when I try to enter my Google email (gmail) I get a message saying " The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know."
Further info: choosing guest as my profile also works. But in my main profile the screen that asks for my google email acts as though I hadn’t entered anything when I hit the next button.
Final update: fortunately I did not have to reinstall Chrome- just choosing reset defaults did the trick.
