Well, no post specifically that I can remember, but I do know that you almost always make a post or two in all of my threads, and I just remember that from reading them as a whole and overall, I thought you were female. Plus, the name…You can look at usernames and kinda get the impression they’re a guy or girl (even if the name is not genderbased). fishbicycle just seems like a name a female would have. :o :smack:
Oh, wait. I know. It was the mary janes with the white socks that gave me away, right?
I am a woman, my user name is the alutiq word for woman.
5 months pregnant here, so I think it’s a pretty good chance I’ve got girly parts.
The sad thing is that my screen name is one letter shy of my maiden name and my married name put together. If I ever get a PhD, I’ll start hyphenating regularly.
Yes, but it’s the cleavage in your name that confuses people.
All’s fair in love and pun wars.
To be fair, I also thought you were female due to the user name and the phrase “A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle”. It seems like something a woman would choose.
And the white socks and Mary Janes are quite becoming.
Well, now I feel compelled to re-explain my username. On the day when I signed up, I had been listening to a comedy record by Canadians Bowser & Blue. They have a song which goes:
I’m in like with a dyke named Spike
Who needs me like a pike needs a bike…"
And when I was prompted to enter a username, that phrase was on my mind, and I just combined the two words. I hadn’t considered the gender ramifications of it.
:: blushes ::
Oh man…
:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:
I’ve been here now for about 2 years, and reading this posters posts since then and I’ve been thinking TYM was female all this time.
Geez.
I am male but I’m not Russell Crowe
Ha, I love your side-by-side comparison photo that you linked in that thread.
male.
I mean, really–would any woman name herself this?
I think someone needs to start swatting mosquitoes.
If I’m not male, then I’m on the wrong floor.
:: chuckles to himself over the joke that no one else will get ::
See…now the name is why I thought fishbicycle WAS a man.
If a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle, then a fishbicycle must equal man that really was needed by a woman, right?
Some woman found that fishbicycle WAS pretty necessary after all.
PS, I’m a woman. Straight, if that matters any.
I’m a chick, but I think the only person who ever mistook me for a dude was Lobsang.
Phone number, address, and availability for dinner next week?
I always assumed you were a guy.
I thought you were a girl, too.
Sorry for the multi-posts.
And I’m a guy, much like my namesake.
