Sorry to hear about your derailment!
I too suspect that this was just an excuse to protect your feelings… with the whole “tired” thing that ended your date. Sometimes the chemistry just isn’t there on one side of the equation and despite knowing you should like someone, you just don’t. But I hope I am wrong…
When and where is this snowball fight thing? I live really close to Wauconda - I want to go, too!!!
Well, I’ve been on two dates and I’m still “eh”. Might see one of the guys again but I’m not really excited about it. I’m going to be really busy for the next few months and don’t really feel like I have time to deal with the whole dating thing right now. I need to go hide my Nerve ad. There’s this one guy who’s sent me like eight messages which is totally creeping me out…
But, I’m glad to hear stuff is working out so well for so many of y’all.
(Sorry for the delayed reply: I went out of town for the weekend and am just now getting caught up with the SDMB! :))
We’re just getting along extremely well. We have a lot in common (both significant and insignificant stuff, which is cool), we both believe in being direct and honest, and neither of us has a lot of emotional baggage – but the baggage we do have is similar, so we “get” each other. We’re both amazed by how comfortable we feel with each other already, and how easy it is to talk/be with each other. And then there’s the chemistry . . . ah, the chemistry!
We’re going out Friday night (date #3), and I’m really looking forward to seeing him. It’s been just over a week since our last date, and I kind of miss the guy.
Sorry nothing has worked out.
Hopefully “eight messages” guy has backed off!
I’m telling you, one of these days you’ll really be ready for the online stuff and then things will click.
