I just heard a European police siren go by. Which is weird, because I should be 4000 miles from the nearest one.
Nifty!

I think I got the reference, but would have totally missed it if you hadn’t said something.
Also, luuuurve the hair! Great color.
Boy, did I ever, though I could’ve done without the weird dreams.
When I woke back up, I guesstimated that it was roughly noon. Checked my phone: 11:50 a.m. ![]()
wow!!
Our county is the home of Naval Air Station Patuxent River, so many of the kids are Navy dependents. Plus many more have parents who work for contractors supporting the Navy in various capacities. I expect there are very few who don’t have a tie to the Navy in one way or another.
My rule of thumb is when they’re still slightly bumpy - just slightly. Oh, and if you let them get overrripe and yellow-orangish, they make fun water toys! I’m not sure I’d want them in a pool, but my grandparents had a place on the Magothy River where we’d swim a lot, and the cukes were fun, cheap toys.
Love it!!
I think I’m finally done painting the aft cabin - except for a little bit inside each window frame. I’m going to use polyurethane (I think) paint for better moisture protection. They’ll get done when I do the small wall and window in the head.
I got a couple more azaleas, picked up my fabric at Michael’s, had lunch, and did grocery shopping. I’ve gotten a couple of inquiries about the TV - with luck it’ll be sold and gone this afternoon. I also got and wrapped the nightgowns I bought for Roxy. And now I’m making ice. I was going to plant, but it’s way too close to 90 Ferrets to be digging on the hill in the sun. I’ll plant in the morning, then run the sprinkler.
I think I’ve earned a little chillage.
Hippie - Nice.
Don’t believe anything from the neck up. I let filters do the heavy lifting. Mollie’s hair is not as nice IRL. I am getting more hair, though.
OMG - can’t people read??? I have an ad to sell a TV. I said Cash Only right in there. So, naturally, I get asked “Do you taken Venmo/Zelle/PayPal?”
I’m sorry I’m such a dinosaur, but I don’t want to deal with apps, especially for such piddly amounts of money. At least this guy said he’d stop and get cash.
Sheesh. Kids these days…
Happy belated Days, Spot and Roxstar. I hope your days were great and that salami was involved.
Sometimes (often) I can’t either. I do agree that you should never do anything personal on company computers. Everything you do will be seen by someone else, why risk having to defend looking at a message board?
So here I am without really having read and kept up either. We went to the South Charleston Farmers Market and a Dahlia jumped into my basket. (Venti PinkBurst) I haven’t really wanted to mess with Dahlias yet, they are fussy plants and I’m still learning how to garden with water.
They had some produce out and a few yellow tomatoes came home with us, then we went to The Capital Market which was a bit of a disappointment. They weren’t fully set up yet and it didn’t seem to have the same “feel” as it did back when his folks used to take us shopping.
That sounds horrible and I do hope it is just something that can be treated with some antibiotics.
Waves back. I’m glad you are enjoying yourself and would also be motivated to walk up hills for bakery treats ![]()
You would think that would go away when you didn’t have to work anymore. You would be wrong! I’m still wasting far too much time doing chores and housework when I could be stitching instead.
It’s 35F and partly cloudy. Also, there is snow on the ground.
The weather sure has been drinking a lot lately. Next years hangover is going to be a bitch.
A filtered and pixelated Mollie:
I’ve given up on cucumbers. I never know when to pick them, and I always pick them too late to be any good.
This will be a learning experience for me, muskmelons were easy in AZ, I’m not so sure about the sun this far east. If I’m successful this year, I’ll try Christmas melons next year.

Ariel after her mud bath
She looks very rejuvenated!
Will you have to give her a water bath, or does that brush out? No matter, she is beautiful anyhow.
Today, I thought I would share one from Sunflower:
You are both so talented, that is lovely and her colors are amazing. As usual!
Ariel after her mud bath
Even muddy, she’s a pretty girl.
I have been posting my quilting pictures here. Today, I thought I would share one from Sunflower:
I like the highlights of red in this one.
Had my regular scheduled PCP appointment this morning. Since there were a couple of hours until the dermatologist appointment, Sis and I went to Texas Art Asylum, where I hit the jackpot of someone donating their stash of stamps and dies. After the derm (I have to go back in May for a couple of biopsies), we did the grocery shopping. Next week, no medical appointments!
Howdy Y’all! Much sloth was accomplished today. OYKW told me he would eat whatever I eat in solidarity. I asked him if that means even next Wednesday when my diet will be liquid. He said he would be with all the way up until then. I like that. Solidarity up to a point.
Lucky hope you’re better now and have the meds etc. that you need.
MetalMouse I could be enticed to walk uphill for good bakery treats.
Taters as to the snow, well, better thee than me.
Mollie you look mahvelous! Also yay for findin’ good bagels.
Hippie my compliments to Sunflower on the lovely quilt.
WetOne hope Ariel enjoyed her mud bath. I hear people pay dearly for those at spas.
THE HUMMINGBIRDS ARE HERE!!!
I’ve seen one drinking four times or four drinking one time each, but they are here!
Not only is Ariel pretty, but she is a good girl. The hot water at the barn has been on the fritz, so mud removal is good old fashioned elbow grease. Even if there was hot water, I would groom her to get as much of the dried mud off as possible then give her a bath. That’s too much mud to wash off.
Up from naptime. Having Smoked Paprika Chicken(kicked up with cayenne pepper), baked **N.O.T.**s with chili powder, and cilantro lime corn. And a margarita.
Mollie’s hair is not as nice IRL. I am getting more hair, though.
It’s just the start of the journey.
Glad we get to ride along.
That’s too much mud to wash off.
Not like you can trot through a carwash…
Went on a departmental field trip to a couple of museums today. Brought along a couple of the academics to try, once again, to show what a good interactive exhibit is. To moderate success, but it was cool to see how some others do it.
Also cool to re-visit some exhibits I installed at one of the museums while it was still under construction.
But it made for a long day, and Ms Peach is extra rambunctious this evening.
Yay, Mollie! Nice to meet you.
I went for a drive this evening. The intention was to get a drink, but I chickened out on that. I did get out of the car and walked a bit in an urban green space. No one threw tomatoes at me. I almost went into the Jeni’s, but decided that amount of interpersonal interaction would be too much.
So much adrenaline. I should get to sleep tonight… I hope.

Welcome to Gender Euphoria.
I still wish I were normal
Normal is 1a.) subjective, 2b.) relative, and 3c.) overrated.
Not sure what our favorite naughty weather app would say about local conditions here in western Mitten right now, but my take was, “This isn’t fog. This is fucking soup!” I couldn’t see familiar signs or landmarks 50 ft ahead. Spooooky looking, especially when tree branches were backlit by streetlamps - my ‘hood looked like a friggin’ horror movie set.
Ate an entire (mini) can of beans for lunch/dinner, so I expect to wake myself Monkey in a most undignified manner after several hours have worked their magic.
At least he didn’t shoot out the door into the foggy night.
The beans were pretty tasty (Bush brand black beans with onion & garlic) but how exceedingly precious would I be to bring some cumin to work next time? I could re-use one of the plastic tubes my joints come in … nobody would object, right?
(Joke’s on you, I already reuse a couple of (clean!) tubes for chocolate covered coffee beans, cuz, yanno, caffeine + chocolate = happiness.)
On an unrelated note, sixteen dollars for four measly gallons of gas?!? I haz some complaints in that department.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. It’s currently 68 degrees Ferret Height(20 Centipedes).

4d. Only a setting on the washing machine.

This.
Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 10c/50f with a predicted high of 13c/55f and cloudy. Weather app says “True story. Mammatus clouds fucking look like boobs.”
WetOne Ariel is gorgeous! I hope she enjoyed her spa treatment ![]()

I hope you enjoyed it and the academics learned something from it.

Small steps, right? You did something that was not entirely comfortable for you, but you did it, and everything was fine. It’s still a good feeling to know you’ve accomplished something new. We’re all proud of you!
Yesterday was a nice quiet office day so I managed to tick some things off my list. I got home without incident, did my early evening chores and tended to the needs of cats, then made chicken and chorizo for dinner 'cos that’s what 'im indoors asked for. We’re watching the final season of “You” and managed two episodes last night before I declared it bedtime.
Today I am on my own in the office so I’ve got some peace to get on with a big spreadsheet thing I decided to do. I’m also thinking of bunking off a bit early today just because I can. Only by about 15 minutes so I can get an earlier train home. No plans for tonight aside from watching whatever film we decide on. I’ve got a session with Amrit at the gym at 8am and then we’re off to Manchester to see my favourite band in the whole entire world!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 88 and sunny. I shall deal with candle and other duties over to the church house later this mornin’ and pick up some stoner food whilst out for today’s main need to feed. No chili dawg for me as their chili contains beans. I may console myself with a ‘nanner puddin’ milkshake. They are soooooo good!
Mollie the only “normal” people are those you don’t know very well. You took a chance and did a thing. That is a big step!
shoe nuttin’ like drivin’ in pea soup at o’darkthirty. Not havin’ to do that is yet another perk of bein’ a RDOS.
BooFae enjoy your quiet day at irk!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall cleanse myself. On the plus side I can get away with tshirt, shorts and sandals when I go out later.
Happy Firday Y’all!
