(Old) A new topic for Slackards in the MMP

In a way, you’re going through what a lot of tween/teen-ish/early 20s girls go through: experimenting with makeup (oh, gawds, my attemps at blush!) going through “phases” and trying out different looks (one week you’re Goth, next week, who knows, maybe prairie skirts?) until eventually, you settle on “you” … whoever that may be.

I burned my “lunch” break coming home to check, but nope. Spent the rest of my shift more than a bit hungry, but ye gawds it was too hot to even think about food. And I wasn’t ezzactly in a happy mood anyway, so appetite approached nil.

Left a very small handful of kibble by the door as a bribe/peace offering, before I headed back, but all evening just clung to hope that after a warm, sunny afternoon in a black fur coat maybe he’d rethink his life choices.

The only silver lining with all that, was I had a small order from Amazon that I forgot was supposed to show up today, so at least I could rescue/retrieve the box when I briefly revisited home.

One of the items was … kitteh treats. :upside_down_face:

Sure 'nuff after we finally closed (and yes, I said prayers to the moon the whole way home) he was waiting for me at the door, HOWLING like I’m the one who kicked him out or something.

After some suitable time with his water bowl, and some more suitable time begging for gooshy-fud - dude, you are On Notice And Grounded ™ and you think you’re getting the good snax? - he is now plopped in my lap.

This made me smile.

Paul, sweetie, you hit the JACKPOT!

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly laughed my ass off.

Whelp { slaps thighs in Midwestern } now that my fuzzbutt prodigal son has returned, I can finally relax and think about food, and possibly a nice shower.

And AW CRAP I forgot about the trash bin & I’m already de-sheveled. The neighbors already heard me yelling “MONKEY!” endlessly … how much more judge-y if I wheel the bin out in my bathrobe at 2 a.m.?
