It’s warming up a bit for the weekend but the bottom drops out again Monday night. More freezing rain predicted before potential sleet or snow, and the low might be below 0 (which is unusual here).
Are you fastening your bra behind you? Have you tried putting the band on backwards, fastening the closure, and then spinning it around until the cups are in the front and then sliding the shoulders on?
I personally find your weather related adventures rather interesting, as I truly can’t imagine how people function in those temperatures.
My sincere condolences, that is a lot of loss to deal with at once.
What causes an implant to fail? I didn’t even know that could happen outside of when it’s first drilled and healing. I’ve got three, with the oldest being ~23 years old and I just got the permanent crown this week on my newest one.
I hope he’s just feeling a little off today and bounces back to normal tomorrow.

I’ve had a lifelong problem with clenching my teeth. That’s how that back molar got broken in the first place. I find night guards uncomfortable. So basically, I clenched it often enough over the past couple of decades to loosen it, and it’s no longer seated in bone.
Holy smokes. And here I am bitching about it getting down to 0F/-18C and wondering if I can tell my boss it’s too cold to drive to work and that I need to work from my dining room table instead.
That really sucks. Will you (or can you?) get another implant to replace it?
Howdy Y’all! We brunched and got reminded of why we have not been there in a while. The Mayberry diner is good but it ain’t all that, plus it’s pricey. We stocked up on Diet Poopsie and Poopsie Zero. A chawklit cake WILLED itself into our buggy (that’s southern USofA for shoppin’ cart) so we had no choice but to buy it. Surprisingly neither of us has carved out a hunk of it yet. That shall be rectified soon, however. We achieved nappage and slugged down some zinfandel. All is well in swampland.
Hippie sucks all those appliances flaked at the same time, but shiny new appliances are nice.
Sticky_Buns yay for new washer. Had to buy one last November. It’s a big capacity top loader and I am happy with it.
Rocky I too would be inside while that’s goin’ on.

We have an appointment Tuesday to get taxes done. Pretty sure we’ll get refunds from the feds and the state.

Afternoon all. Swimming got swum, seem to be stuck at 1,600 yards (2 800-yard sessions), may go back this evening and try some more. Finished off a couple of hot dogs in the refrigerator so not needing further nourishment until later. It’s warmed up to 55F, so pretty nice outside.

Daughter texted me before their appointment that they’d canceled it because urgent care was really backed up, and turns out, Roxy got over the fever and is back to her usual “nutter butter” self (as Daughter put it.) So yay for that!
We had French Toast made with a loaf of crusty bread for an early supper - very yum. Now chillage is in effect. I ordered the jeans FCD wanted and I need to go to WalMart tomorrow to pick some up - the rest will be delivered tomorrow. I don’t entirely understand the reason, but since I have to go to Lowe’s anyway, Mart of Wal is just half a mile further on.
It came to me that today is the 13th anniversary of getting my Sonata. i only remember because when we bought it, FCD made a big show of telling his coworkers that he’d bought me a car for Valentine’s day. Um, no he didn’t But it made for a good story. At the time, it was actually his car - I was still driving my Scion.
OK, back to the recliner. Laundry had been laundered and stowed, dishwasher is loaded - nothing much else to do today.
But I would like some chocolate cake. Dammit.
The bone would have to regrow before I can get a newer (better) implant, and that will take a while. By that time, I may be used to chewing without that one, rearmost, molar.
So I now have a title to my new to me car. Can’t get plates until Tues, holiday etc. The line at DMV was out the door and I had to get insurance organized.
I kinda want a pizza (would really like to try one of shoe’s) but also don’t wanna leave the house.
And this whole getting real jobs and working for someone else thing has given me way too many keys. I used to have home, truck, shop. Now I’ve got home, and soon to be my car on one key ring.
Then 10 on another. 2 separate door keys for both the school and the museum, my buddy’s shop, my tool box, the exhibits at the museum, the magic key for light switches that don’t have a switch, the school dept’s tool lockup, and one more toolbox.
Someone once said, the more keys you have the more important you are, until you have one key. I got the master key to the entire school department. If’n I wanted to I could cause some trouble. Good for them I’m well behaved…and lazy.
Maybe go online and make an appointment? Is that available in your part of the world?

You are much nicer than I am. For what you folks are paying for rent, they should be able to afford to get a professional in to fix the system. The elevators shouldn’t fail if the air pressure changes, what if a window in the rec area gets broken? Or the door to the roof left open.
It is possible that shoe might get the pretending to be a responsible adult thing. I doubt anyone would ever believe such a thing of you. OTOH, I have been the responsible person for two people during surgery. I thought that was sad (no family or friends, we were just neighbor/co-worker) and crazy.
Moderation is best. How’s the incision? Do you have a cool scar to show off at the gym or is it covered by your work-out clothes?
I’m off again until they get the pool filters fixed. I understand things haven’t been going well and most of that is because the road is still not safe. The rain has stopped today, but the snow is melting up north and there is a whole lot of water in the rivers and creeks. The river behind us has trees standing knee deep in the water and the river is still rising.
Folks are starting to move stuff out of the river areas and there are two homes by the river that look very wet.

And won’t that be fun! We changed all of the light bulbs out when we moved in here. Some day, we will wake up to the dark because all of them died over night.

I’m fairly sure I saw your condo. Of course I would have no idea which one it was, but when I checked the news, they were panning all around to show all of the buildings looking kinda small compared to the crowd.
Back when I worked, I would leave work parking lot to park in a different parking lot and eat lunch in my car. I once watched a raven dancing and displaying to a lovely lady so I threw a bread crust out of my window. I fully expected the boy bird to offer the food to the lady bird, but he just ran over and ate it himself. The lady bird squawked something about being rude and flew off.
I doubt that anyone is booing our country, I’m fairly sure there is only one target and he is orange.
So our mattresses were supposed to be delivered between 1530 and 1800. That didn’t happen. We got them at 2000 and now they are filled. We are waiting for them to settle for an hour before burping them and then I will dress them for the night. We will still have to mess around with them in the morning, but I know that all of us will be happier tonight.
We also got good news about cousin’s hubby. He was able to sit up and drink coffee by himself today. I’m so happy that they finally managed to get his UTI under control, he will be a much more cooperative patient now that he understands what is happening.
I hope that she’s feeling better soonest.

That’s uncomfortable as hell if the bra fits well. My mom used to do that. I’m having shoulder issues and it’s time to go back to a front closure.
flyboy, I’m with shoe on how to bring up the subject of a professional board complaint to your wife. That cosmetologist is waaaaaaaay out of line. When my niece was a cosmetology instructor, I couldn’t even get a pedicure at her school, as one of the questions was are you diabetic? and if you answered yes, they weren’t allowed to do one.
I bought a valentine gift for Nelson: a big boy bag of Blue Bits. He was ecstatic! Still doing the cutwork on the Easter cards. They are more cuts, less inking, so once the cutting is done, so is most of the work. Now just chilling until bedtime.
Two targets, the other one has been citizens of 3 countries; unfortunately for us he currently is a citizen of the USA.
That’s very good news about Hubs’ cousin. Hopefully his recovery will continue apace.
Since milk is frequently sold out, I stopped at Kroger first. There were only 5 of my regular 1% milk and absolutely no Kroger Lactose Free milk in the cooler. So, I grabbed 2 of mine. Waited by the Employees Only door and when a woman came out, I asked her if any Kroger LF milk had been delivered today. She went back and asked the head dairy dept guy then came out and asked what I wanted. I said Hubs prefers 1% but I’d take 2% and if the only option is whole milk, I’d take a carton of that. So, she went back and came back out with a carton of whole milk as that’s the only thing that was delivered.
When I went to pay the property taxes, I was surprised to see a young fellow working as a clerk who used to work at the front desk at the Fitness Center. We had a nice little chat. Then went home and had lunch. My shoulder and back were starting to hurt a little so I took some Ibuprophen and settled in the lazyboy for a spell where I ended up falling asleep. When I woke up, Hubs and I went to Kroger. It was a madhouse with 99% of the men carrying bouquets and sometimes balloons.
For Valentines dinner I made NY strip steak with sauteed onions, smashed garlic, quartered mushrooms. Sides were scalloped potatoes and steamed broccoli. Dessert were Valentine cutout cookies, red m&m cookies and opera cake that Hubs had picked up from the middle eastern bakery that I get the croissants from. He sneaked over there unbeknownest to me.
Hope everyone enjoyed Valentines Day.

Late night final time. Did a little pedaling (just don’t like sitting around the house after dinner doing nothing) and just had a pudding cup and some carrots, so reasonably healthy eating here. Got soccer at 4pm tomorrow, might do a load or two of laundry in the AM, we’ll see how it goes.
FCM, don’t think I’ve had a car for 13 years, mine is coming up on it’s 8th anniversary and I’m looking to get a new one sometime this spring.

VanGO, I have one key (my house) and the ‘key fob’ for my car and that’s about it. Have fun keeping track of them all. And a master key is like gold.
The incision is doing well, I’ll have a nice 7" scar, but in a location that it will be hard to show anyone unless I want to get arrested for public indecency…

Seeing as how I’m not sure how to measure rivers by eye, I just measure the level by the trees. Currently it is 8 trees deep. Trees out here don’t usually grow in the river, and they tend to not grow on the banks because they fall over. The river is over it’s banks and trees 8 layers deep from that have wet roots.
I’m gonna get this water thing figured out sometimes, I’m just not used to living somewhere that people keep water in the rivers year 'round.
Currently we are waiting for the bladders to settle before burping and then dressing the bed. We are both much happier with these bladders than the ones we got from that other company, the plastic is thicker and the seams look sturdier. I’m really hoping that the problem is fixed now, my hip and back can’t take sleeping on my recliner with GG on my hip.
We don’t get many Florida licence plates up here. Maybe in the summer.
I understand from @LSLGuy ‘s various rants posts that there are a lot of Canadian licence plates in Florida this time of year.
