Ok, so I’ve been trying to remember a particular old(ish) children’s cartoon segment/short. I remember it being part of a larger children’s show such as Sesame Street, or Pinwheel etc.
As for what I recall the characters were two different colors (I want to say red and blue). At least one of the characters had a “beret” or at least the top of the head bore the “shape” of a beret. I say “shape” because both were “shmoo-like” in that they were either blobs, or something similar. I seem to remember them playing a horn-type instrument or maybe a flute-type, but not 100% certain. The mouth section of these characters would “morph” or shape-change into the instrument, and they would start dueling/playing music, and maybe snapping their fingers while playing. What I can say with certainty is that it’s definitely not Red vs. Blue (cartoon), nor is it Chapi Chapo. Any chance someone else knows, or at least remembers?
No,that isn’t it, but you definitely got the idea. I should have mentioned that these characters were rendered in a completely black background. Nothing else.
I used to LOVE La Linea on Great Space Coaster. You just knew that little guy had a potty-mouth from hell even if you couldn’t actually understand a word he said!
The little guy was speaking in very strongly accented Milanese dialect. No actual swearwords, or at least not a lot that I remember, but there were lots of euphemisms - Milanese equivalents of “What the dickens” and the like.
