(Old) Falling Into The MMP

Thank you, I know that I’m being seen and I’m hoping that people are thinking about things but yanno how it goes. We haven’t been coal-rolled for months though, that’s gotta mean something.

I did manage to seriously upset someone about seedless fruit. I had brought some red grapes for snackage and mentioned that I liked green grapes better but nowadays they all were seedless. When he expressed interest in my reasoning, I told him that if you don’t have seeds, you can’t grow the food. If I want green grapes but can’t grow them because of no seeds, I have to buy them from the people who control the seeds.

He thought about that for a full minute before starting to complain about why didn’t anyone tell him before and he bets Monsanto (a big issue here) had something to do with it and will tell everyone to never buy seedless fruit again and then just walked off swearing. Alrighty then.

I sure do hope you don’t find any swelling in Ollie’s mouth, that could be Very Bad for a little dog like that.

Almost all of the birds have flown away now. There are three or four hummers and the resident Cardinals, Goldfinches and sparrows but I haven’t seen any Jays or Woodpeckers for several weeks. The fuzzbutts are disappointed.

There are still a few lightning bugs out there, but not many and some of the trees are starting to turn colors. This will be my second fall here and I’m really looking forward to seeing it. I’ll enjoy the winter as well, but its much easier to enjoy bad weather when you don’t have to be out in it.
