We lost power for a day when the transformer caught fire and that was the longest I’ve been without power for decades. I’m really not worried about it happening during the storm, but Hubs is fretting. He remembers being snowed in for weeks when he was a kid and lived out at the end of a single lane unpaved road in the hollers. Our situation is much different and the infrastructure has improved in the last 50 years.
The temp has dropped four degrees since I got up at and there are three inches of snow on the suet feeder. It’s supposed to get down to 8 tonight which will freeze the roads. Here’s hoping the cold will keep people home because that much ice won’t be safe to drive on.
