I haven’t seen a pussywillow in ages! They use them for Dingus Day around here.
Church was wonderful.
My girlfriend gave me a 9 roll package of toilet paper and three boxes of tissues ( sinus trouble). The tp should last about 18 days, don’t judge.
Its 80 out, in Ohio.
I have a virtual interview tomorrow, even though the food place has me coming in Wednesday to discuss my schedule. I need a back up plan.
I had 5 oz of cottage cheese for breakfast. Had a ham and pepper jack sandwich now.
Maybe spaghetti later.
Sunday chores are done and I messed around in the studio whilst dinner (an Italian inspired veggie soup) cooked. 'Tis good!
Howdy Y’all! Been a day of very high sloth, general over uselessness, nappage, and day drinkin’. I watched the service online this mornin’ and then we had sketties etc for N.O.L. This was followed by kitchen cleanup and nappage. Then it was day drinkin’ time. 'Tis all N.O.S. out and warm so we had gin and tonics out by the cee-mint pond. Scurvy and malaria are now successfully warded off for a while. Now 'tis Netflix and chill time.
See y’all tomorrow!
Rotissed chickie was very yum! There’s tons left over so I see a big chicken-grape-pecan salad in my future.
Dishwasher is sloshing away and I’m about to replant my butt in the recliner. Chillage shall ensue.
MusicMan and I collectively made Hot Italian Sausage and Toasted Ravioli for him. I’m getting ready to dig into some pasta with mozzarella and some smoked turkey. My mouth and throat are raging today so I was trying to find something fairly harmless.
Otherwise, I’ve started working on the urn. I got the base cover complete. Then I ordered some clay and stuff from Michael’s to work on the finishing details. They had 40%off on their website today and I also had a $5 off voucher. So I got lots of clay for just a little money!
And a good Sunday evening to all. Made it to the gym for a couple of hours of pedaling to nowhere and watched a little soccer (12U boys that I didn’t have to coach or ref, just watched from my folding chair). Home now and eating some braunschweiger sammiches for dinner, which should fill that empty spot. I also cleaned my toilet bowls (One of my morning purchases was a 2-pack of Lysol toilet bowl cleaner) so that was a positive household accomplishment. Internetting and reading the NY Times will take care of the evening hours.
All y’all have a nice evening/morning and I’ll catch y’all on the next MMP.
It’s not my favorite, but people seem to like it. The main thing, though, is Pensey’s Baking Spice. A teaspoon of that is a game changer.
I made a swanky style Wisconsin Old Fashioned(Cognac, blood orange, Luxardo Maraschino cherries). Dinner was salad, baked N.O.T., and poke loin with Pig Salt. Listening to some tunes on YouTube.
She’s a keeper.
And if you buy them singly, better for you than shotgunning an entire sleeve of frozen Thin Mints in one sitting.
Enjoying my sketti.
I don’t go to those church dinners anymore, because I do have food. A neighbor went last week and my loser ex talked to her
Loser- have you seen suntan lately?
Lisa- no, I think she moved.
Loser- where’d she move to?
Lisa- shoregate towers ( a different city), she’d mentioned it.
Loser- how bout you then?
Lisa- I have a boyfriend.
Lort!
LOL!!
I have been keeping my fingers crossed for the stars to align for you.
Oatmeal raisin cookies aren’t my favorite, but I agree that they are pretty darn good. Especially if they have cinnamon and brown sugar.
One big sister I am aware of tried to sell her little sister in the school newspaper. “Hardly used, never does chores.”
Dad thought it was funny as anything, Mom wasn’t nearly as amused.
It is a hard choice.
We made plans for our cats years ago because we do such risky things as drive in Prescott. Our will gives the local cat rescue group the use of our home as well as a monthly allowance for utilities and cat fud until our last cat dies. At that time, everything gets sold and distributed between our nieces and nephews.
Hopefully we will be able to find another rescue group willing to make that sort of arrangement in WV.
Of course, fostering is always an option.
Being catless as long as I am able to care for one is not an option.
Hubs sets his alarm for the same time every morning, he thinks it’s important to have a routine.
After I retired, I would set my clock just so I could slap it off and go back to sleep knowing that I could do it without repercussions. For the first couple of weeks, I even hit the snooze a few times, just because I could.
It will, if only because I’ve adjusted it to the 9th. That is a Sunday so we will have a day of no road work.
When we first looked at the place, the real estate person said the owner was going to have an estate sale but would give us first dibs after stuff had been priced. We bought our current furniture with this place in mind and I thought the furniture in our new place fit better with that home, so suggested that we just sell/give away what we have here and pay a couple of thousand (estate sale prices) for the dead woman’s stuff. That would make the move cheaper and easier.
Hubs was hurt, we had paid a lot of money for our stuff and we bought it because I liked it. I was all OK, whatever. We’ll pay to have it moved and then replace it piece by piece later.
Tonight he suggested that we do make an offer on the dead woman’s stuff so I’d have a bed and chairs and all and he would sell much of our current stuff before moving.
Link for those who don’t have it bookmarked.
I sure do get that!!!
I have a friend with Pomeranians. She doesn’t bring them to visit because GG wants to PLAY with them. He’s not being mean, he just doesn’t understand that he can’t carry the little fuzzy squeak toys around and drop them in water to see if they float.

There’s tons left over so I see a big chicken-grape-pecan salad in my future.
Make up a batch of masa and spread half in a 8X10 baking pan. Grate a couple of cups of Monterey Jack. Mix a couple of cups of left over chicken with a bottle of green Verde salsa. Put a layer of cheese down, spread the chicken salsa mix over that, more cheese and then the rest of the masa and a final layer of cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Super easy and lots of compliments.

MusicMan and I collectively made Hot Italian Sausage and Toasted Ravioli for him.
Do you happen to have the recipe handy? That sounds super yum.
Congrats on the clay, getting more for less is always fun!
