Good evening all. Set a new mileage standard at the poo; today today, did 1.75 miles (3,100 yards). Took me about 2 hours of swimming and an hour in the Jacuzzi between swimming sets (did 1,800, 700, and 600-yard sets). Then after my big bowl of Salad went back and did some sweating on the cycles and treadmills, so came home and snacked away, since I knew my calorie balance was going to be good anyway (ate about 2800 calories, exercised around 1,500 off, so a balance for the day of 1,300, or 800 less than maintaining weight). Bed time will probably be early, I plan to mow the yard tomorrow (mowage in mid-November…where’s that cold weather when I need it?). Down to 46F outside, so I think the days with the high at 80F are done and dusted for this year.
Never have tried SPAM to the best of my memory, but it always reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anwy2MPT5RE
FCM, I can remember my dad saying that he just wanted to die, it tears at you but you also hope that it happens soon and peacefully and you soldier on the best you can.
JtC, no kids swimming lessons here, but they do have a play area where parents (for a fee) can drop their kids off while they exercise. There is a window looking down on the area on the steps between the 1st and 2nd floor (ground and 1st floor for boo fae) and I always stop there and watch them for a bit, usually getting a wave from some kid (I always wave back) and that makes the whole sweating routine worth it. As for the complainer, well, idiots are going to idiot…
And 500-600 yards is a good starting point, it’s about where I was when I started and been building it up for the past 18 months.
Enjoy Turkey Day with Harry and the Missus.
Coppertone, sounds like they are the SNAFU source; hope you can get it straight with them.
Funny, I don’t see MASH much here; CSI used to be everywhere but not anymore and you can usually find NCIS re-runs most anytime.
Cat Glove, glad Hubs is doing better, and fortunate timing on the PBS, Not one for musicals but some years ago I was bouncing around channels and PBS was showing Sweeney Todd, with Angela Lansbury and I was enthralled. Still can sing some of the prelude and concluding song: “To seek revenge may lead to hell; but everyone does it and seldom as well…as Sweeney…as Sweeney Todd…the Demon Barber of Fleet Street!”
And it’s 10:15pm and I still have two You Tubes to watch (Irish People Try the Weirdest Finnish Gum Flavors and Try to Keep Eating While Watching How it Was Made–eclectic am I in my viewing… Catch y’all tomorrow.
