(Old) Hauntings in the MMP

That sounds horrible, I’m so sorry you both had to endure it. Is this a common thing for horses or was it new and super scary for you? I’m glad she is better, I hope you recover soon too.

That whole thing sounded like so much fun, I’m glad you got to go.

There are other ways to make a SO late for church yanno.

We have two banks. The credit union in AZ where most of our money is and the bank in town so we can use their ATMs. We like our credit union better, but we don’t like paying ATM fees so took the time to open another account that only needs ten bucks to keep open with no fees.

Hurray for surprise money, I’m glad you were able to get some important supplies.

That’s pretty much it. I’m thinking that Donna (the woman who died here) is ticked off because I still have boxes in the living room. She might have died alone and in squalor but that is all on her kids and grands. They should have at least made sure she had a working HVAC system and fridge. I could tell that she was houseproud before she couldn’t keep things up so I’m fairly sure she wants me to get off my ass and get the boxes emptied.

We had someone come in and do a deep clean of this place before our stuff arrived. She cleaned the closets and cabinets. After she was done, I spent much time putting things into the closets and cabinets. That broken whisk didn’t not come from inside the house.

I watched the dog run into our yard and she wasn’t carrying anything. Our doors are never left open and I found it in the back hall. So, no, that didn’t happen.

You might be right. I do have some elf sized bowls, but will have to think about where to put them to keep the cats out of the milk. We’ve never offered our fuzzbutts so maybe they won’t know what it is.

Gently take them out of her hands and put them aside. FIL used to fall asleep while eating, so that’s what I would do. When they got cold, I would throw them away and make new food so he had something warm when he woke back up.

This is my opinion as well. Soup is fast, stew is slow.

I will happily follow you, if I remember. It’s getting late and I tend to start forgetting stuff when I’m tired anymore.

I quit driving at night years ago. The glare from the bright headlights was too blinding.

PM your address.

Not really. I’m sure I should and would happily take the knowledge in small bites, but everything I see online is pretty complicated.

I don’t really have access to anything but flower or vape carts here. I was hoping that weed would go full legal next year, but think that it won’t happen for at least five years now.

You are on my list to PM in the morning. It is late and Hubs just threw the cats out of the bedroom. That’s his idea of foreplay, but I’ll take what I can get!

TTEveryoneLater.

JtC Ariel had a bout of choke about 7 years ago. That round was much worse. I knew she would still be able to breathe and my vet was very calming and reassuring when we spoke. Supposed to have a lesson today, but Ariel took a nap in the pasture just as I went out to get her. She was tired from her ordeal. I let her sleep came home had my dinner and then went back to the barn. She’s back to her old self, she looks a little tired in her eyes, but she’ll be fine tomorrow. Thank you all for your concern. She is my precious.

Finished my cake piece and heading to bed, wondering what the new MMP will be called.

No, no passenger names that I know of. (The Missus had the tickets on her iPhone, so I didn’t see them.)

I don’t know. I damaged my knees in high school and the year after. I think they’re getting worse.

I made ‘cheater’s stroganoff’ for dinner tonight. Cube steak, half of a yellow onion, sliced (fresh) mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. I made yolk-less egg noodles for my wife, and I had hearts of palm (low-carb) ‘noodles’. Hey, the cube steak was in the buy-it-before-it-rots bin, and I only used two out of the three. Wifey gets the egg noodles and stroganoff for leftovers. I get the leftover cube steak.

I can mention it in the new MMP thread.

Don’t you walk more than half a block at a time? If so, yeah, you are better off than us.

My boarding pass was for Mrs. Peter Joseph (Catherine Rizk), accompanied by Michal and Anna. She was 24 years old and had TB. I’ll try to remember to take pics for you in the morning.

That would be very kind, thank you.

Well, yeah. A little over three miles. But I haven’t been walking as I should for a month (except for vacation the third week of October). There are just too many other tasks, and the weather isn’t cooperating. :frowning:

I couldn’t read them, because I didn’t bring my glasses.

When I was training to hike the Appalachian Trail, my sister recommended walking backward on the treadmill for a short while. So after I’d done several miles frontward at approx 3-3/4 mph, I would lower the speed to 2-3/4 mph and work backward, then lower the speed a more and walk frontward as a cool down.
You might try this.

Just keep making them afghans~it benefits you both and thanks them.

Wise and certainly the truth. She’s doing her best to maintain the human connection.

I an]m definitely keeping both of you in my Rolodex!

snerk <:joy::rofl::joy::rofl: may be my favorite mump post all week.

I’ve yet to find any other usage.

Not that I, um, know anything about that middle child.

Yeah, it’s definitely this. You could tell her whatever you want.

I have deh diahbeetus just reading this.

(J.K. those sound amaze-balls.)

Truth.

Came into work with a black eye years ago, because I rolled over while grabbing the blanket to pull it back up (my shoulders were cold!) and because I didn’t know the blanket was weighed down by Teh Kitteh, I lost my grip and punched myself square in the face.

Worst cover story in the world, but it was true!

“What T.F. happened to you?!”
“I rolled over in my sleep.”
“Honey, is … everything okay at home?”

Oh, my friggin gawd. That is just absolutely too much, for each of those poor souls.
And for you, for trying to help.

And, in a way, ours.

I believe yah. See above. I also collect bumps, lumps and bruises from 3 and 7 year old grandchildren and lots of bloody scratches in conspicuous places from a rambunctious cat who likes to launch off me when I least expect it. There’s a reason she is banished from the bedroom.

I have my annual wellness visit with my Dr. Wednesday and just now noticed a deep bruise the size of a slice of bread above my right knee~that will be fun to explain convincingly. Especially since I have no idea when or how it happened.
I was supposed to go to the audiologist today for a hearing test and to order replacement hearing aids. They cancelled the appt last night, the audiologist is sick. I need to call and reschedule. I hate adulting but I really want to be able to always hear my grandchildren’s soft little voices. Wednesday my family doc and a few days later an eye surgeon about cataract surgery. Fun week. I’ll be lucky if they don’t total me out and call the junkyard salvage tow truck.

Yes, yes she is. Softly pat her neck from all of us.
