(Old) How often do you change passwords - a secure MMP

I cleaned, dusted, and vacuumed. I changed Spot’s litter. I took out the trash and recycling. Watching the Hungarian Grad Prix, and Onan is tossing seed on the ground.

No. but I remember the Emerson Fittipaldi OJ outrage, so it’s my interest.

I vacuumed 4 hours ago, and there’s already a Spot Tumbleweed rolling in the hallway.

I’m shocked it didn’t spontaneously organize into a cat or 3.

{{{{Pearl}}}}. Thanks for stopping in.

{{{{shoe}}}}. And good thing to call out.

As someone who’s doing late-nite work for the first time since kolledge (e.g. when dinosaurs still roamed the earth) may I ask what provisions he’s found useful?

A woman can only eat so much string cheese or hummus.

Monkey was being very snuggly earlier when I was in the throes of demons exorcising themselves but he abandoned me & went to nap in the basement during the warmest part of the day, like any proper siesta.

He just re-emerged as I was typing (anyone remember the old Cheezeburger memes, and “Basement Cat?” Yeah, I have one of those living in my house) and has now superglued himself to my kneecap.

It’s my mother’s Catholic Name Day today, so I gotta call her.

Good thing I have an Emotional Support Kitteh ™ licking my arm.

A month ago they removed a Lot of bushes around our building. A big one in front of my window. Now it is back at 6 ft. Damn.

@SuntanLotion You got a way to submit a maintenance request form?

6ft shrubbery usually gets the attention of whoever is supposed to be in charge of that sort of thing.

Yes, I told maintenance. What bush grows that fast?

Quiet again at last. Daughter’s car is good to go for the trek to Akron next weekend. I did some of her big laundry in my big machine, because I’m nice, dammit. Roxanna eats like a teenage boy - Daughter is pretty sure she’s gearing up for a growth spurt. I swear, that girl had 6 pieces of toast, a roll-up sandwich (meat & cheese on a tortilla) a big plate of pasta, some cucumber salad, a pretzel rod… eeeesh!

Tobias watered the plants on my front porch - he’s quite the little gardener. I need to borrow him when it’s time to plant bulbs this fall. Trevor and Otis did a lot of running around - here’s hoping Otis will crash early tonight. And I’m about to find something on TV to entertain me as I crochet. But what I want is a hot fudge sundae. Dammit.

Up from nap, lying on the floor to help out the back, feels better. Now quick shower to get rid of the bug spray from mowing, I ain’t going out into tick country without protection.

I’ve got some walnut trees that are almost 6’ tall that didn’t exist before May. I gotta get rid of them before they disrupt the corner of the porch.

Kudzu?

Honestly, this is now a “you problem, not a me problem” (you = maintenance) unless/until they drop the ball.

You reported the problem. No longer your circus/monkeys, unless it really gets into your window/sunshine/air circulation.

Convo with The Mother went well. I also weaponized S.M. to send her a lil’ message - for an Ammmerrrikuninan! to send a thing like that should hopefully warm the cockles of my mother’s heart.

I have identified a metric buttload of trash, that needs to go out. It’s by the door, and I would also like to have some soooooouuuuuuup.

(This whole “sicky” thing is MEH, but I have identified snax & calling out was probably the smartest decision I’ve made in a while.)

{{{pearl}}} I’m sorry to hear about Fox.

I hope you’re feeling better now, shoe.

Howdy Y’all! I deheathenated (and served) early and chillaxed the rest of the day. OYKW and I did early lunch at the good seafood place. Both of us had fried shrimpies. I was a good boy and had green beans and cheese grits in an effort to make it seem healthier. OK, I had hushpuppies too. OYKW went with fries, onion rings, and hushpuppies. To his credit he did not eat all the fries. Truth be told the place does make good onion rings, so he was right to finish those off. Large nappage then ensued followed by day drinkin’ as we both felt a tinge of malaria and scurvy comin’ on. Needless to say there was no need for further sustenance. The biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I watched some stoopid teevee until I got tired of it. OYKW is upon the bed watchin’ some crime show or other as is his wont. I shall see what up on teh intartoobz for a bit until 'tis sleepy time.

{{{Pearl}}} I am so sorry about Fox and the year you’ve had! We’d love to hear from you as you are able.

Oopsie glad you had a good time with the nephew and found new toys and threads.

shoe hope you feel better soonest. I trust you called off irk.

VanGo glad your back feels better.

And back from the gym and Chili’s (the steak was real good but the service was so-so, the prices were high, and the music was way to loud, so don’t think they’ll be added to my regular Sunday list). The rest of the day will be in high-level slothage status, as the temperature is still 88F. Have my weekly agenda/menu ready for tomorrow, hopefully when I do the Moanday weigh-in at the gym the news will be better. (I was up to 212.2lbs last Monday from the vacation over-consumption).

Knots, always wonder what the Indianapolis racing folks would do if the winner is lactose-intolerant… I lived just outside Indianapolis for several years, been to the track for sightseeing but never saw a race there. Hope the TV/remote is behaving better, ha e you checked the batteries? (this is the only thing I know to do).

Taters, sounds like a wonderful family day was had. Safe journey to the youngun’s.

Cookie, glad you could get together with grand nephew, that’s 34 years of catching up to do.

Van Go, I’m fortunate that the house next to me is a rental property and they haven’t done much to the lawn so it’s weed-strewn and I don’t have to worry about having the worst lawn…now, 2nd-worse I may be in contention for…

Oopsie, looks like it was a good day for family get-togethers. And I would like to see Lego offer a blouse for sale…

FCM, if I ate like Roxy I’d be back at 300lbs in no time…but then again, kids burn off calories a lot faster and easier that we do. As for the Sundae, is there a Dairy Queen near you? (They are all over the place down here).

Shoe, glad Mom-talk went fine, you take care of yourself now.

And back to the end of the week internettin’.

Mrs Magill and I yoga’d and supped. Time for shoth.

Keep in mind these provisions are a nineteen year old young man. He’s been eating a lot of Jimmy Dean Breakfast Croissants and chips. He also has been stealing my leftover chicken fingers that I’ve been saving for lunch the next day. And my leftover butter chicken that I was saving for lunch the next day. And my… you get the picture. To be fair, I didn’t tell not to eat my leftovers either. They’re the only. Non-nuke-a-meals he’s been getting.

Next week is his last week.

The stir-fry came out well. I made cauliflower ‘rice’ to go with it. Low-carb, but not as good as actual rice. Good nonetheless. The Spousal Unit mentioned a day or two ago that she like the family-style tofu I made a while ago. I’ll plan on making that next week.

Yes, and yes. Also, thx for the reminder about the trash bin, I had 2 things to do today: go to work, and haul out trash.

50/50 good enuff.

Especially when you had very good reason to decide that going to irk wasn’t happening today.

Hope you’re feeling better, and that Monkey is being a good nurse kitty.

MetalMouse - there are 2 DQs within 10 miles, but A. Neither of us wanted to go anywhere, and 2. We’re trying to watch that we eat (less successfully some days than others.) So I had my apple-n-peanut-butter instead. It was good, but not hot fudge sundae good…

And now for some sleepy-bye

Feel better, Shoe.

Hey, Pearl.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. It’s 71 degrees Ferret Height(21.667 Centipedes) and raining.

both of us say “that’s my boy!”.

This made me snort giggle out loud, so loud it woke Moxie up (sleeping in the laundry across the room) and she had to come over to find out what the fuss was about. She’s now thinking about crawling on top of me to go back to sleep. She wishes your Hubs lived here-I’m stingy with catnip.
