I just finished editing my monthly budget. There are always expenses that don’t fit anywhere, like sympathy and get well cards. Also, I don’t separate out clothing expenses, which are fairly low, since I mostly wear tee’s and yoga pants, but then, I usually get the pants hemmed, since I don’t own a sewing machine and am all thumbs. Anyway, as a friend used to say whenever she balanced her checkbook (Remember those?), “I’m poor right now.” She wouldn’t let her husband do it because then he’d decree survival on stale bread and creek water for a week at a time.
I was going to go to the store today, but phone calls ran long, so I did InstaCart, as I needed bread, milk, and frozen vegetables. Dang it, I forgot to put the gate code in the messages part. The driver texted me once, but I didn’t hear it, so he left the groceries beside the driveway. It’s on me that he couldn’t get in, but I thought that was odd.
swampy, I laughed until I had tears in my eyes at the squirrel story. I can’t wait to tell my sister tomorrow. Oh, and my daughter will want to hear it, too. She’s already a swampy fan from past stories, plus she loves your swampy-isms. You’ve got groupies!
That’s an intriguing idea. I think if anyone is doing this, it’d be the management, but I guess there’s no reason they couldn’t be. Hmm…that just might be it! I’ll let you know after I talk with management tomorrow. Thanks!

He’s a good guy to have a crush on…a musical genius and a real gem of a person, I understand. One of my all-time favorite songs is “Southern Cross.” I was just thinking the other day how cool it’d be to go back in time to Laurel Canyon in the Sixties. What an incredible time and place! Didn’t Stephen Stills live there with Peter Tork before The Monkees were formed? In fact, I think Stills recommended Tork audition for it. I’m sure you know way more about Still than I do. Good choice!
