Happy Toosday!

We got Echo off to daycare and the GR to the vet. Both have gained 10 pounds since their last visit.
Misiu is 25 pounds, Rayleigh is 23. Neither is fat, they are going to be big boys when they grow up.

Misiu is so crazy. We got to the vet’s early, so we sat in the truck for a bit. Misiu stood up to look out the window and started growling. I didn’t see anything out there but cars. Then he started wagging his tail while growling.
He saw his reflection in the side mirror and thought it was another dog.

Adam is being a brat.
I was sitting on the deck; Adam was sitting on the porch. The GR went over to see him, they weren’t hurting him at all, just sniffing. Misiu lay down about a foot away from Adam, just minding his own business, when Adam suddenly attacked him.

Irk was irritating and frustrating today.
I think I am burned out.
I also have to call Weis. When we ordered groceries for pickup Saturday, my card wouldn’t go through. It was something on their end. I used a different card to pay for the groceries when we picked them up. Yesterday I got a notice that my payment went through on the first card.
One more f’ing thing to add to the list.
I need a secretary because I am tired of dealing with people.

I worked for a company and later found out the managers were keeping the tips. How we found out?
One customer tipped a worker $300, then was upset that the worker never thanked him. A $300 tip does deserve a thank you, only the guy had no idea about the tip because the manager kept it.
There are a lot of shitty people in the world, if I had a magic wand, I’d shoot a lightning bolt up all their asses.

One of my friends used to say, young men are more fun because all you have to do is start to unbutton your shirt and they are ready to go. You don’t have to irk for it.

When I irked for the state, we got Flag Day as a holiday.
Until the state figured out that nobody knew the reason for it.
Then they took it away from us.

We had fireworks last night. I am pleased to say the GR didn’t bother about them at all. Then the thunder started, and they didn’t care about that either.
I hope it stays that way.

I believe there should be one non-religious federal holiday a month. We need ones for march, April, and august. I figure that Christmas is celebrated non-religiously by people.

I was just doing some quality porch/book time. Mama cardinal was not pleased I was there. But, I dunno what kind of large woodpecker didn’t care at all. Dude was all of 16" tall. Kinda too big for my little feeders. Hummies have found their feeder. I do enjoy watching the birds. My deck chair is roughly 10 feet from the main feeder. Unless I move quickly, they mostly don’t care that I’m sitting there.

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and put away even. Then it was sloth and nappage time. Then it was day drinkin’ out at the cee-mint pond. Then it was time to make and eat sup. Kitchen got cleanded up and then it was time to have cocktails (it was after five) out on the back porch. We are worn out from all the activity! Have I mentioned lately how much I love bein’ a retired drain on society?

Cat Glove, I wonder which Muslim Holiday; the two major ones I remember from my time in Abu Dhabi was Eid Al-Adha (honoring Abraham of the Old Testament and Koran; he’s kind of the dividing point between Islam and Judaism) and Eid-Al Fitr (to celebrate the end of Ramadan). Living over there they were 3-4 day work holidays, doubt they get that much here…and the dates varied as the celebrations are based on the position of the Moon (IIRC).

Flyboy, nice of the cow-orkers to remember; hope the tacos were good.

Got my 750 calories of pedaling done in two sessions, one this afternoon and another (shorter) one tonight. Clothes are in the laundry baskets for future cleaning. Temperature is down to 70F so AC will get another night off. Had a 50 minute rainstorm but it’s dry for now.

OK, some internettin’ and readin’ to finish off the day and catch up with y’all on Hump Day.

The mattress people did not show up. I stripped the bed and got things ready for them and was righteously (IMNSHO) irritated that I had to re-make the old mattress.

My hair is fuchsia with purple. I will try and post a picture tomorrow.

I’m not friends with any federal workers anymore, but the state workers I know lost Columbus day and the county workers finally lost their Friday after turkey day. So, no, it wasn’t sarcasm, it was annoyance at everyone out here bitching about how the worthless government workers get yet another day off.

Every says to eat bananas. I hate eating bananas so I tried eating banana cream pie instead. It didn’t help much, so next time I will cut the slices bigger.

I have been thinking about putting some color besides gray into my hair, how long does it take for the dye to set? I dyed my hair a couple of times when I was much younger, but it was a PITA and smelled bad. Has hair dye improved much in the last 40 years?

They are puppies, I don’t think puppies or kittens can get fat because they are so very busy! I hope they don’t too big for you to pick them up, sadly that’s something us old farts have to think about.

Adam was being a cat. He has to be sure that all of the drooly dawgs understand their place in the pecking order!

Rain started last night, and of course, I had forgotten to cover the wood pile that I left uncovered because earlier in the week, there was no rain forecast. Dammit. I’ll go semi-cover it so it doesn’t get any wetter - that is, so only the top few layers are wet.

I don’t know why I thought yesterday was the solstice - it’s today. Summer solstice, and we’re not supposed to get out of the 60s!! It’s madness, I tell ya!! I was hoping FCD could do a trash/recycle run today - maybe if there’s a pause in the precip?

Mostly today will be Tobias in the basement/laundry day. Good times!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and partly N.O.S. with a predicted high of 79 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted this afternoon and evenin’. We are also under a flood watch. It stormed overnight big time. Woke me up just a little past midnight even. OK, I woke up to go pee, but it was stormin’. The big item on today’s agenda is to procure provisions from the Pubic Sto’. If we wait until around ten to go, we can get fried chikin plates for N.O.L. which works for me as that would take care of the main need to feed. Then afternoon can be for nappage, day drinkin’, sloth and general overall uselessness as it should be.

Sunny sucks about the mattress not bein’ delivered. I’d be inclined to call and be somewhat Karen on ‘em, especially after havin’ to unmake and then remake the old mattress.

Flyboy I agree with VanGo. I think it’s time to take off and nuke 'em from orbit.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, bother of all bothers, I suppose I must purtify and don attire acceptable for bein’ amongst the great unwashed. Woe is me!
