Well. Had a bit of pain so I went to my NP. Gave my sample. Yes, uti but no blood in it, just nitrite.
She gave me something called Macrobid.
The weather was beautiful today.
I got more books at the library, one on handwriting analysis ( yes its accurate) one on Bill Cooper, one called Do gentlemen prefer blondes, and one called Thank you falettinme be mice elf by Sly Stone.
About to make a salad, chick peas, tomato, cheese, thousand island.
What do (did) you do with rubber stamps? Are they block mounted or unmounted?
I tether Nelson when he rides with me. I keep a carbiner attached to the oh shit bar on the passenger side of the car. A million and two years ago when I worked on a volunteer ambulance crew, I saw accidents that weren’t that serious, everybody survived initially, but the dog got scared and bolted into traffic.
Happy birthday RoxStar!
A happy gotcha day to you and Spot doggio!
Irked, came home, walked Nelson, et and assembled a couple of Thanksgiving cards in the studio (yeah, I work on holiday cards year round).
As for snacks, I have to watch what I keep on hand here at home. I love ice cream, but since any container is a single serving one, the mini ones or ice cream sandwiches are the only things that come home. I also like BBQ corn nuts, snack nuts, fruit and yogurt. Cookies are another single serving item, so I buy them individually (oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip are favorites, but I have very few that I would turn down). Crackers and cheese or buttered Wasa bread occasionally. Like I said, I don’t keep a lot of snacks around for good reason.
Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the church house. We had a good crowd, and, as usual, solved all the world’s problems, but no one ever listens to us. Both of us brought part of our steaks home, as we indulged in some grilled jalapeño snausages and some good cheese. Steak 'n aigs to break fast tomorrow, so yay for that! Also, found out there is some good interest in my proposed book study group, as in, some folks have already ordered the book. YAY!
MOOOOOOM I almost want to say no way is RoxStar six! She is growin’ up so fast!
Wheelie adjustin’ to different time zones for irk travel is not sump’n I miss at all. Hope you find some suitable sustenance soonest. Airport cuisine leaves a lot to be desired.
Cookie hope the PT helps the wife. And, yeah, said judicial smackdown would be fun.
shoe I am impressed with your healthy eatin’!
doggio Happy Gotcha day to Spot!
Hope all with tax day woes/worries come through it OK.
I figure most of my family consists of revenooers and horse thieves, so I don’t dabble in it so much.
I’m in Spain, where my favorite snack is a wedge of a potato dish that’s called “tortilla” but isn’t a Central American tortilla. It’s more like a potato and egg crustless quiche cooked in a frying pan.
I used the stamps to make cards, bookmarks, painted wood things. I haven’t done it for a while and thought I would go through the basket and keep the ones that “sparked joy”. I have a bag full to find new homes. Some are on wood blocks, some on foam.
My work from home plans got upended by the laptop not liking my password. So I did house projects.
The tree bookcase is in the proper spot, and I went through the books to put on it. Winter dry cleaning went to the cleaner. 2 loads of laundry were done and folded. Putting away will happen during my “morning puttering time”.
When we had our last dog, I had a special safety harness for him that had a slot for the seat belt. However, cat skeletons are mobile enough that you really can’t rely on the harness to stay on if the kitty gets panicky enough. I walk Cat Roxy with a harness on, but when she has to go in the car, I strap her carrier in the back seat.
nettie, if you have any canned (or cooked) chickpeas, you could try blending them and stirring some into the hummus to tone it down.
Evening all. Soccer has been coached, only had 5 girls there (three of my players are sisters and when one gets sick then…). Wanted a Wendy’s Double Cheeseburger but the drive-in line was long and didn’t move an inch for 5 minutes, so bugged out and got a Bigger Jack and fries at Jack’s in 3 minutes. So my big calorie day is done (Sunday and Monday are the days I conspicuously consume, I try to be good the rest of the week). Still over 70F as it nears 9PM, I may have to trade in my heavy comforter for the summer model before 1 May. Otherwise nothing planned for the rest of the day except internettin’ and readin’.
I’ve heard of singing for your supper, but singing being you supper…
Fair question but since I dropped the original one 200 feet from my house in a wooded area he’d have to have the tracking abilities of Daniel Boone…(plus, this one was smaller… )
suzie, I am getting to Spain one of these days…
OK, it’s 9pm and I’ve been moderately active, so gave myself some extra calorie points so I will probably have another snack before bedtime. Take care all.
Yupper, that was a long day. I left the house at 8:15 AM, left the high school ay 9:30 PM. At least the first half of the tech rehearsal went OK. No problems on my side, the sound folks were having some issues…
Days like this are hard to get food in my face. I think I’ll just punt on sustenance till tomorrow. Current plan is a late start and a trip to Dunkin on the way in. I’ll be back at the school till at least 9 again.
How TF is Roxxie 6??? I started Mumping when she was tiny. The years keep getting faster.
I can’t really keep snacks around because Hubs has no self control. If I bring home a bag of chocolate, I will eat one piece and then put it in the cabinet and forget about it. Poor Hubs does not have that ability, so he will eat some every day until it is gone. At least he’s able to just eat four or five pieces instead of the whole bag at once, he wasn’t able to do that twenty years ago.
We have no self control when it comes to potato chips and are outraged at the price of single serving bags, so I don’t think we’ve had them in our pantry for a couple of years.
OMG! We are getting OLD!!! Great pics
And…ummmm…we filed our taxes a couple of months ago and have gotten a few pennies back from the feds, but gave some of them to the state.
We had a situation about 16 years ago when the IRS thought we owed them a whole lot of money so they took our bank accounts. We did get it back about five months later, but they didn’t pay us any fucking interest or penalties. Bastids.
Due to the PTSD that lovely experience brought on, we look at our taxes much more often than is normal.
Between our driving trip to WV with all of the time changes, then coming back and driving to Dallas…I’ve only now gotten recombobulated as far as day and time is concerned. I’m amazed at your ability to recover so quickly.
I hope it helps, when you are in constant pain, nothing is fun.
This really sucks. After all you have been through with that eye, it should be fixed by now. I hope your doctor hides the scary things until they have to use them.
The difference is pretty amazing. Happy Gotcha Day Spot!!!
Hurray! I am quite sure that had you waited until after noon, it would have been a much different story!
Hubs has put his Harley up for sale. He loved it and still rides it once in a while, but like you, I’ll be glad to have it gone.
But still…watching someone we love give up something they love because they are just too old now is pretty sad.
Good managers know how to make fast decisions when it comes to the small shit…and letting a great worker take an unauthorized break pretty much is small shit. Moral was boosted for everyone that night.
Hurray for a surprise check. Found money always makes me happy, even if it is just a couple of bucks I left in my pocket last time I wore that jacket.
Matching shoes as well as matching socks. Pants are usually also recommended.
I got mine done early, the wind started blowing things around around 1100, so I dragged the ferret cage out to the street and called it a day.
We were gone for a couple of weeks and then one of our cats who used to yell for a nightly leash walk had stopped yelling. We lost him a week later, so if Cat Roxy isn’t hollering tomorrow, please take her to the vet.
Isn’t it strange the things you can’t get when you move? Back when I lived in Hawaii, I had to beg Mom to send me tortillas and canned Jalapeno peppers.
I’ll be buying masa from Amazon after we move to WV.
Isn’t that just how it works! Murphy is a right bastid he is!
Maybe check your outlet covers? Mice are sneaky and bendy, if a cover is loose, they could get out with no problem.
I don’t start my car until every being is properly restrained. Back those same millions of years ago, a coworker said she couldn’t wear a seatbelt because of whatever. Someone ran a red light after I was in the intersection, we both tried to dodge unsuccessfully and I ended up hitting the trunk part of her car. I can still see my coworker slamming into the windshield and remember the unrestrained children in her car with bloody faces.
That will never happen in my car again!
My sister was looking at our family and found that one of our great great uncles? was hanged as a horse thief. She stopped looking and I thought it was because she was embarrassed that she found an unsuccessful horse thief that she stopped looking. Years later she said it was because she was embarrassed to find that sort of thing in our family.
Mom told me to go out in the garage with Dad because I wouldn’t stop laughing.
By the time I am done with this, it will be Toosday.
Happy Birthday Roxy!
Happy GotchaDay Spot!
Icky wet morning as we had thunderboomers all night.
The sun came out and it cleared up nicely.
The alarm woke me this morning, not pain. But as soon as I sat up the pain started.
I think the increased dosage is helping.
We went to the park, and Coco and her dad showed up. The GR got a little rowdy with Coco but she put them in their place. Some man showed up with his two dogs, he went on the big side and the dogs had a great time running the fence.
One by one they dropped out, except his two were still going strong.
Echo and Rayleigh curled up and slept the whole way home. Poor Misiu didn’t have enough room to curl up. As soon as he got out of the truck he lay down in the garage and didn’t want to get up.
Coco dad got the same shot I am going to get and he said it doesn’t hurt.
But you never know. When I got amniocenteses, I had no pain at all. My son’s father looked like he was going to faint, the doc said a lot of men do. However, my cousin found it to be extremely painful.
I need to call the office because I have no restrictions on my instructions, but he said he wasn’t supposed to drive afterwards.
Maybe he got something different.
I got our extensions filed today.
I think I don’t owe much but my son is fucked this year.
He had to take money out of the annuities, and the unemployment he should have gotten in 2022, he got at the beginning of 2023.
I don’t know how the capital gains from the sale of the house will affect him, or if I can claim all of it.
Or if anybody has to since we bought this house.
That’s what accountants are for.
I talked with my neighbor for a bit yesterday. He is a nice guy.
I found out why he has heavy equipment in his yard, it’s to help when he is working on his truck. Some of the parts are heavy.
He used to volunteer at a dog rescue and he brought up Litter Mate Syndrome with me. So far, I’ve not had any problems with the GR. Rayleigh is getting a little more assertive, being a bit pushy with Misiu and challenging Echo a little, but nothing serious.
Misu is so chill. I worry Rayleigh may push Echo too far and she doesn’t play nice.
As far as snacks?
Depends on my mood, sometimes sweet, sometimes salty
I don’t keep them around much, or if I do, I get stuff my son likes that I don’t like so I’m not tempted.
Right now, nothing sounds appealing.
