The new coffee-maker came today, surprisingly soon. I washed it and ran a cycle without grounds. Now it’s set up for tomorrow, and I hope the Delay function works. It’s too tall to open the cupboard, so it will have to be moved when I want something out of that side. I can read the clock!
It is indeed.
Thanks for the hugs everyone, despite terrorizing GG, Crabby Old Cat was a pretty good cat. He bonded with hubs but would demand scritchings and treats from me as required. He hasn’t had any internal distress today, but we haven’t been giving him much gushy fud either. The vets out this way are always booked out, so I’m worried the poor lil guy is going to have to wait and I can tell that he’s just not happy anymore.
So…that’s where our day has been.
I’ve been reading all, but just can’t summon up the energy to answer, so will wave and head off to cuddle up with an old sick kitty.
JtC I’m sorry about COC. We never have enough time with them.
How is it after 7pm on Sunday already?? I don’t wanna work tomorrow!
I spent the morning catching up on some volunteer-related stuff. The branch secretary had been out of pocket for a couple of weeks, and I rely on him for validating new members and telling me about upcoming membership expirations, so we’d/I’d gotten a touch behind. It felt good to get caught up. Then I dropped Bailey off at doggy daycare for some playtime and grooming, and went to Kohl’s. I found almost everything I was looking for, plus a couple extras, and the total came to $97…nicely covered by the $100 gift card from my company.
I got to the volunteer-related social gathering right on time, and spent a nice 90 minutes chatting with everyone while eating some yummy hummus and half of a margherita pizza (the other half is currently in my fridge, about to be eaten for dinner). From there, I picked Bailey up: she got the brush-out I requested but not the nail trim, because she snapped at the staffer who tried to cut them! She never snaps at people! Her nails are pretty long; I’m wondering if her nails/paws might actually be a little sore. The actual groomer is only there Tues-Sat, so I need to bring her back and let the professional try it. It’s my own fault for letting her nails go for so long…my poor doggy.
In other news, the treadmill is gone! Yay! I wound up listing it for free this morning, and got two bites: the first person was able to come look at it shortly after I got home, and she and her husband took it away. The third bedroom looks so empty now! LOL! I’ll work on cleaning out the other stuff in there and reorganizing everything this week/next weekend. It’ll still be a storage room, just waaay less triggering for my OCD. And, now there’s plenty of space for the wall under the window to be fixed (whenever my property manager/his brother gets around to that).
I could have done laundry a few days ago, but put it off until today because I knew I’d be looking for t-shirts and socks at Kohl’s: I started the washer right after the treadmill got taken away, and now it’s time to move everything to the dryer. So, the last day of this MMP is laundry day for me. I’ll also run the dishwasher this evening.
Ugh, I’m so sorry.
Dang, that really sucks. I dread the day our own sweet puss in in that state.
Evening all. Got a short but active Thunderstorm here around 4-5pm, but it’s stopped for now and has cooled down considerably, into the 70’s. Will take my car up to the garage tomorrow morning and Uber back to the airport to pick it up. Mid-sized SUV reserved, so we’ll see what I actually get.
Don’t bet on it; lottery tickets have better odds…
Flyboy, be sure to let us know if you have fresh coffee tomorrow.

Ok, that should wrap things up at Casa Rat. Take care all and I’ll catch you on the next MMP.
I remember a human interest story in which a young man brought his mother a bouquet of roses and told her “Thank you for having me on (given date)” His number was 366.
I laundered, I napped with spot. I waited on the drying till after 7, but it’s almost done. Vacation is almost over.
If it’s a cinder block building with no inside seating that’s only open Monday and Thursday, then go.

I send my mother a thank you card and gift every March cause I know what she was doing all those many years ago…and it wasn’t picking pears.
You deserve more shower screaming!
A place we went to when I was working in Orange County was literally a house in a residential neighbourhood. Great BBQ. Picnic tables in the yard.
Happy Sunday!
and for me, another day of mostly sloth.
and it shows.
It was very humid when I let the pups out this morning. I heard we had t-storms last night, but I slept through them.
Misiu is a little off this morning. Lethargic and not interested in treats.
I didn’t see it, but my son said somebody threw up a few times upstairs.
Now it’s afternoon and he (Misiu) is full of piss and vinegar, so all is well.
Rayleigh is being a brat; he goes out and then comes right back in because he knows he gets a treat for going outside.
Misiu is back to looking poorly this evening.
I gave him another half aspirin in case it’s FSF.
One more thing to worry about.
I sent an email to the lawyer asking when the money will be dispersed and how do I know I am going to receive it. I’m not sure I should have, but I did.
I got next to nothing done this weekend. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, and a long list of shit that is going to stress me even more because I didn’t do any of it.
I doubt any of it will get done tomorrow either.
The doctor wants me to bring in all the meds I’m taking. She doesn’t want a list; she wants all the bottles. That is a royal PITA for me.
I am so sorry about COC, JtC
It truly sucks when we lose our babies.
I knew you were teasing MetalMouse
Sorry the vacation is over Doggio
I sent my mother a dozen roses for my 30th birthday. I sent them to her job.
Wayne the Pain served in Nam. It was rare for him to talk about it, but when he did, I listened and kept my mouth shut. Asking questions would upset him, saying anything at all would upset him. He didn’t want sympathy, or anything at all.
So, I let him talk.
Past bedtime. I’m trying to get back onto a normal routine.
{{{JtC}}} It so sucks that they are only with us for a short time, but you did good for the little furry dude.
And I like it that way so much better. I don’t have to sit down and read the tiny print on all the bottles and then type a long depressing list. I just dump all of my bottles into a bag and hand it over. (I actually refuse to do the homemade list anymore because I always seemed to do it wrong in the past.)
COC just puked all of his dinner while exploding out the back end, and then suffered through the indignity of having a rump rinse. I put his fav fleece blankie in his favorite box, snuggled him down and then covered him with a towel. VBC is hanging out in the bedroom with him and GG is very confused.
If we had an emergency vet less than an hour away, we would be on the way, but it is getting pretty dark and neither of us have any night vision left these days.

Sending you hugs, JtC.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.

Tag, you’re it! (We had a late close tonight & while I’m enjoying listening to the crickets and froggies, and my eyelids are getting heavy, I’m still having trouble winding down my brain.)
