The movie The Longest Day was made in 1962. That does not classify it as an old movie. I was a kid when it when was made! Birth of a Nation? Now that’s OLD.

I think being off work two days last week plus being away the weekend before this one has really messed up my sense of what day of the week it is…I’m not even sure what day I think it is, but I keep having to remind myself that it’s Monday! 
And this month is only 2 days “short,” but it’s messing with my head that Saturday will be March already. At least we’re in for an early Spring over the next few days (highs in the low 60s)!

I’ll keep it displayed until I need the space; then it will be stripped for parts.
(If you can’t make out the label on the front of the sled, it says “BRICKS 'N BREWS FEB 2025.” Bricks ‘n Brews is the name of my friends’ side business.)
If there are other people doing the same job with the same skills at the same level who perform just as well or better than her and have been there longer, they might be prioritized. But we don’t tend to do simply “last in/first out” cuts, if that helps at all. The direct report who has “senior” in his title and has been here for 3 years will be affected; the junior guy who’s been here for 8 months won’t be. Different jobs, contract needs, etc.

I’d require texts, too – and if I asked for one and you didn’t send one, I also wouldn’t have picked you up. And, I would have said no when the pastor tried to send me to get you. Like shoe said, stuff happens: people get sick/hurt, accept other ride offers, etc. Dude and his wife are doing you a favor; a simple weekly confirmation isn’t too much to ask for.

I always text his wife, saying ready.

I hadnt had his number, i do now and will always text him.
And the guy who drove out of his way to give me t.p. still asked me if I needed a ride, even though he knew my usual driver was there to take me.
