(Old) Missing an hour in the MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’ YAWN ‘Tis 57 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 73 and cloudy with rain in the late afternoon/early evenin’. The big item on today’s agenda isLdeheathenization. I am not scheduled to serve, but will be available cause there is the possibility that one of the folks scheduled may get called into irk. I will be good either way. Afterwards we shall pick up a McN.O.L. and bring it back to da cave to eat. Nappage, sloth, and day drinkin’ shall definitely rule the rest of the day.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Erin Go Bragh!

Wow, that’s fast. Honestly, I like the building and yard. And it gives you an excuse to say Monongahela. But I’ve seen that that house isn’t going to be the one. Good luck with your search.

And I now want a tray ceiling in my bedroom. Which isn’t going to happen.

And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Hope the medicene and low fiber diet do the trick for hubby. Please make sure to take care of yourself.

The neighborhood association is having an Easter Egg thingy today. We don’t have kids, so we’re not participating, nor is anybody in our building. But the event is next to our building, so we get to hear the children having fun. Weather forecasters are a bit challenged this time of year. They predicted lots of sun and warm-ish weather. We have clouds, drizzle, and the actual temperature is about 3°C (5.5°F) cooler than forecast. Good day for baking and paperwork. And I also cleaned the sinks, hubby vacuumed - fun times!

Happy Sunday!

Morning all. Sort of a gloomy morning, clouds and dripping rain, but did get the Sunday Paper bought so that will be my accomplishment for the day. Later it will be meatloaf at Logan’s Roadhouse for the Main Meal and maybe some more gym time.

doggio, nice picture of His Imperial Majesty with (most) of his subjects.

shoe, no bets, not knowing how often any type of vomit ends up in your parking lot.

FCM, glad the fridge came back to life, had trouble with the ice cube tray a week ago not going in quite all the way, finally got it to cooperate and now it’s fine. And they don’t have any small trucks at all? That is odd…

Cupcakes, I would like to see that list.

OK, on with the Sunday Internettin’. Have a good Sunday all.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I had a splash o’ Tullamore DEW in my coffee to start out St. Patrick’s day. And for courage, for I must fight Spot so I may change the sheets.

If you refrigerator is running, you better go catch it. But hopefully the rest of the day will suck less.

I’m in.

Cat, so same difference.

I made a reservation for a smaller truck and FCD is going to drive down there (because for some reason, a phone call isn’t good enough) and make sure all is in order for tomorrow. But we can’t go to the place that’s close by - we have to go to Great Mills to the main UHaul store. Which means we’ll pay $1.19/mile for the inconvenience. The apartment is about 8 miles from our house. The rental place is about 21 miles from our house. So, yeah…

Shades of the prank phone calls we made as kids. Thank goodness there was no CallerID back then. Shame on us.

But the fridge seems to be fine.

MIL, not so much. I created a reminder on Alexa for her meds at 9AM and 9PM every day. And every bloody time it goes off, she says “What was that?” I know, I know. I do my best to be patient, but it wears on one.

No more whining. I have a plan for making our corned beef dinner - yay! But not for 5 more hours. Sounds like chillage to me.

A selection of… um… ‘roosters’.

I’m not sure that I understand this. Was the door simply not closed or do you have a fancy-schmancy fridge that gives you notifications about this kind of stuff?

Happy St. Patrick’s day!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and fixing to do KP and meal prep. Sunday dinner today will be mini chicken pies with a side of cabbage with bacon in honor of the holiday.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Up and getting dressed for church. I don’t have anything green and can’t afford to buy any so a turquoise top with have to do.

Wasn’t expecting the world to be whitened overnight. Pleasant surprise. :snowflake:

Man, I was really off my game last night.

The door had not been pushed closed - it was open about 2". FCD didn’t notice it before he went to bed.

Looks like we set for the move tomorrow. And I’ve submitted change of address to USPS and PNC bank. FCD has to do the other changes as I don’t know the accounts.

Chillage resumes.

Mornin’ everyone.

It’s 42 degrees Fahrenheit and clear outside. The expected high is 71 degrees Fahrenheit and we’ll have sunny skies.

I may get outside to do yard work, but I’m unsure. I have indoor chores.

catglove, just wow. I hope everything starts to even out for you and your husband.

FCM, good luck with the move! You two have spent a ridiculous amount of time moving people and things hither and yon.

Yesterday, I spent four hours erranding with little to show for it. The traffic didn’t help. The sun comes out, and EVERYONE shows up. I usually take care of errands before 10 a.m. on weekends just because of the traffic, but my husband slept very late, and I couldn’t get out of the house. The first errand was made to Home Depot to pick up a new wax ring, but I picked up two wax rings, regular and thick, plus an alternative to a wax ring and new toilet bolts. I seriously considered buying a toilet and having Home Depot come to do the installation, but for once, no one was constantly asking if I needed help, and the line at the service desk was long, so I opted to do it myself. Lowes wanted 500 bucks just for the installation, so I’ll bet Home Depot wasn’t less expensive. Gotta get that toilet fixed today.

Next, I headed back south to Mud Bay for the pups’ food, and I was pretty much in and out of there. Then, I headed south and west to turn in my Xfinity cable boxes. I had three of them; one hadn’t been used in probably ten years. It’s still weird looking at the spot where the box in the great room sat and not seeing the clock. Oh well.

After that, I stopped at a doughnut place to pick up fancy doughnuts and then went to find somewhere to bring back some lunch. I wasn’t super impressed, but they’re newly opened. I had to keep driving around to find a parking spot, and the parking spots were SUPER tiny. So anyone with a vehicle bigger than a Mini Cooper sits right on the parking line or over it.

JtC, I hope you and your man find the right place in West Virginia.

Well, I suppose I better get cracking on the chores. Plus, I need to log into my work computer for a bit. I forgot to leave an out-of-office message, and I have some work that I should knock out, too.

Afternoon, mumpers! It’s currently 15c/59f and partly cloudy. Weather app says “Enjoy this fucking mild weather. Shitty weather is probably on the fucking way.”

It’s been a busy weekend so far - we went to Sheffield yesterday to see a couple of bands at the Corporation which is a nice little venue. Visited a few juicers along the way, and found an Irish bar on the way back to our hotel, which had a couple of musicians performing in one of the back rooms. Got up late-ish, had a very big breakfast before we left to get the train home. As it’s me, and travel can never be straightforward, we got on the train we intended to catch, then the train manager announced that the front section of the train had to be taken out of service when it got to Derby as some idiot child had thrown a rock that damaged a window. Derby’s the nearest place they could take the train off to get the window replaced.

Got to Derby, crossed to the opposite platform and got on another train (with one less carriage, of course) to continue the journey to Big City Station, then got another train to my local station, and a cab home. Cats are pleased to see us, food has been inhaled and we’ve cleared up the litter tray parties. I’ve got a load of laundry in the washer and a cup of tea, so that’s the rest of the afternoon sorted.

I will have to go and adopt the usual position on the sofa and impersonate a sloth until the washing’s finished and needs to be hung up. Then I will be a sloth again until the second load finishes. An afternoon of intermittent slothage!

Wow. Two hours later and it’s all gone. Like it never happened.

I just texted my mother and said, “We’ve just escaped the clutches of Jesus!” And so we have. The baptism is finished and we’re looking for something to eat!

the Department Deputy Director had strongly encouraged me to buy some for Hubs so I bought a crock of it for a Christmas present several years ago, just before he was diagnosed with MDS and told he should NOT drink alcohol at all any more. The next door neighbor kid (who’s in his mid 20’s) shoveled for me several times over the winter and also took down our outdoor nativity scene in early Feb so I gave the Tullamore DEW crock to him.

changing sheets and swiffering in Hubs room and on bed daughter will be using tonight when she returns is on the agenda for today along with loads of laundry, washing dishes, put the plethora of pills in the pillbox for the week, watching the Big Ten Basketball Championship and the NCAA Tourney Selection Show and filling out my brackets sheet. I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Oh, we’ll also be watching mass on tv since we aren’t supposed to go to church (too many people and possibility of germs)
also need to work on the fish tank (it’s a 30 gallon tank with tropical fish) need to scrape the algae, put in algaefix, check the Ph, add water. already fed the little buggers.
will try to workout on the NuStep when I’m watching the B1G championship game.

same here, I put alarms on my iPhone. then I had to add alarms for the med that needs to be taken with big meals; also to remind me to make breakfast in advance of the 9am pills. oh, also for 1pm to remind to take the infusion med out of the frig then for 2pm to start the infusion. [Aak, forgot today is infusion day (every other day) so I have to do that as well.] So, alarms are sounding regularly here at Casa KM.

Up, dressed, fed, Wordled and puzzled. Today’s musing upon awakening: I wonder how many people have run from their homes in a panic when someone has said “This place smells like ass!”

Mid 20s today with wind driving things down even more. The March rollercoaster continues.

Laundry done in record time thanks to empty washers and dryers. Woot! We’re getting dinner delivered for a change. Corned beef, of course, although I don’t trust this kitchen to do it right.

We’re being invaded by ladybugs for some reason. Only on this side of the building, apparently. Perhaps this cold snap will kill them off. Could be worse, of course.

The cat is still moving pretty slowly and sleeping most of the day. Then she prowls during the night, round and round the the bed. It’s particularly annoying when she tromps on my head. She also tends to fall off the bed at times. She’s vomited the past two nights. Luckily the wife was able to get to her and move her off of the rug first.

Looks like the wax ring on one of the toilets has crapped out. In the other bathroom, the flapper valve isn’t seating properly. Gotta get the maintenance dude in here next week.

Cleaning is done. I got the sheets changed without interfernce by dumping liver treats in Spot’s bowl and forcing him to choose between his two passions.

I saw what you did there. But I hope kitty settles down a bit.

I have corned beef in the crock pot. No cabbage, as I’m not enough of a fan to justify buying an entire head for just me. Today’s plans–so exciting!–are to summarize an article on neuropathic eye pain for my SIL and my brother. I’m also going to work on the photo album. Maybe I’ll have my Sunday martini on the balcony, as it’s a gorgeous day.

My son called yesterday, so it’ll just be my daughter today. Dang, I forgot to call my cousin, so I’ll add her to the list.

I"m sorry that first house didn’t work out, but I’m sure the realtor will find something better. If I hadn’t spent so many years in a very red state, I might consider moving to WV, as the housing prices are so much more affordable than here. I don’t think I could stand the politics, though. You can only be a political missionary for so long before you burn out.

Cat Glove, that sounds like an extremely stressful time. The NP should have identified himself as such. Actually, you should have been told when you made the appointment. I try to avoid NP’s and PA’s unless I have something minor and uncomplicated. When I’ve had to see PA’s for complex stuff like lupus or the mast cell disorder, they always end up hauling in a doc anyway.

As he should! Maybe he didn’t understand your accent. Was he a Yankee dog? Did he bark with a southern accent? I miss reading about that little dickens*. He was such a character. Of course, so is Spot. *I always thought it was some oblique reference to Charles Dickens. Turns out it dates back at least to Shakespeare.

Do they wear lephrechaun hats with buckles on 'em? I sure hope so.

I get the capelet, too, which is better than nothing but awkward, and prone to drafts. I like that your facility gives you hospital gowns that close in the front.

I would be!

I’m looking forward to it.

I raked for an hour or so while MIL sat on the porch getting some fresh air. Now she’s napping and my corned beef is simmering. Nothing for me to do till the veggies need to be cut.

So, chillage.

That sounds a lot like a snowfall in the mid-south.

Do you think that your priest might make a housecall for Easter duty? With proper precautions, of course. When my mom was pretty much homebound, the parish priest did that. Also, when I worked in a nursing home, the priest at St. Robert’s would come most Saturdays to hear any confessions and offer communion to the Catholic residents.

LOL! You can keep the corned beef and I’ll take the cabbage.

Well, I won’t be buying any more of the mini pie crusts. They really don’t fit a muffin cup like advertised and even then, there is just an appetizer sized serving of food. I also had to bake the remaining 2/3 of the filling with some biscuit dough on top to use it up. While it was good, I’ll stick to the usual way of making it from here on out.

Now, back to the studio to work on the bread layout.
