Old MS Office question: No Access license?

I have a copy of Microsoft Office 97 Pro that I’ve used succesfully for years. At one time I even had started an Access database to catalog my music, but I haven’t used it the program for probably five years or more.

Now I want to start a new database, but when I go to launch Access I get an error message that there is no license for Access on this machine. Wouldn’t Access be covered by the same license as the rest of Office?

I tried Microsoft’s support site, but all attempts to get info on Access bring up entries on network access licenses or some such.

Do I have to uninstall and re-install, or is there a way to get the “license” I need from my CD? Or online?
