Afternoon, mumpers! It’s currently 6c/43f with no predicted change, and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “Eh, it’s cloudy but it’s fucking decent outside. Is that more positive? I’m really fucking trying.” It’s positive enough, it’s cloudy out there but it’s not raining. That’s good enough for me.
He got a contract working for a company near Bristol so he goes down there on Monday morning and comes back home on Thursday evening
Living in hotels isn’t great and he was hoping to find some accommodation nearer to his work because having to keep bringing all his stuff home and then take it all back again is a pain in the backside
Dot your puppers look wonderful, I can almost see their little personalities!
I am so sorry, it does sound like they have given Duke the best care possible and done everything they could for him. There comes a point where you know it’s time to let them go. Doesn’t make it any easier. I hope you get to see them this weekend to give them a bit of emotional support.
Donna obviously thinks it’s important - have you left a note on it to tell her that her grandkid can’t get it until today?
Hurrah! I hope the second waitlist obliges too!
I’ve never been to a Waffle House but surely brunch refers to the time of day that you’re eating, not necessarily what’s on your plate?
Piper sounds like a proper “occasion” there. Take care in that horrible weather!

I had a pleasant bonus bloke-free evening last night. He took himself off to Leicester to see a band I don’t care for, so I stayed at home and looked after the mogs instead. Today I was up a bit later than usual, and went to the gym a bit later. It meant I didn’t have enough time to do a full hour on the pushme-pullyou so I did 30 minutes on there and then did a 30 minute kettlebells class, then did another 30 minutes on it.
The machine has a load of pre-set programmes so I decided to try the 4:3 interval one. It means you get 4 minutes at resistance level 1, then 3 minutes at level 8, then repeats that cycle. It took me 31.04 minutes/3.93kms to burn 300 calories. After kettlebells, I did 30 minutes on the fatburner interval setting which starts at level 3 and goes up and down through all of the levels (there are 12). That burned 300 cals in 30.01 minutes/3.88kms.
Stopped off to get some cash from the machine at the petrol station near home, then came back to have a shower, a cup of tea and then feed the cats again. I’ve got some dye on my hair which needs to be washed off in 15 minutes, and then I have the afternoon to do whatever I please. We are out tonight, dinner is leftover Thai curry from the freezer which 'im indoors is responsible for. He messaged to say he should be home just after 2pm so I’m sure the cats will be either totally freaked out or very pleased to see him.
