(Old) The spooooookiest MMP

Those are pretty!

I baked some apple - raisin - oatmeal muffins this morning and messed around in the studio for the rest of the day.

When I took Nelson out for his afternoon business, C4, one of the neighbor Yorkies was downstairs and had the zoomies. His mom has some mobility issues, lives upstairs and a lot of times, just lets him out. I worry about him getting hit, either by someone backing out (he’s small enough he may not show up on a back up camera) or going out into the street. The manager gives her a warning about that sometimes, and she’ll leash him to take him out for a few days before just opening the door again. I feel for both of them.

Sad day~announced this morning that our crackerjack QB who went out injured right after the half has a broken leg and is out for the season. I haz a sad for him.

Thanks for the commiserations all. No doubt more will be needed.

Evening all and time for an early late-night final. Dinner at Longhorn was quite good, returned home by 6pm and have hardly moved from in front of the computer since then, I expect to head off to bed early tonight, been a long weekend. Temperature is down to 40F and my room heater is on medium, so feeling nice and toasty after a long weekend out in less than pleasant weather. Still debating on doing games tomorrow and Tuesday nights, will let the other refs fill in what they want and I’ll pick up the leftovers tomorrow. Monday is due to be busy, I’m supposed to get my running boards installed by the dealership at 9am, hopefully won’t take too long to do, then the normal Moanday things,

New car did not change the clock time automatically, so will take the manual with my tomorrow to the dealership so I will do some reading while waiting for the work to get done.

Flyboy, getting a shot in the knee does sound…icky…but think I’ll side with the RN one this one.

Oopsie, glad you had a good visit with dad, and I understand him, took my brother nagging me some to finally get my hearing checked and haven’t regretted it. And my mom passed away in the hospital while my brother and I were on a flight home to see her and say goodbye, so I know how you feel. Enjoy the wolves.

FCM, glad the de-masting was not too messy (shops are naturally grubby, IMHO). And I wonder if there is something you could do that would get FEDEX’s attention…

I did.

It didn’t.

Pavo, sounds like the cats are bringing their own cardio workout for you with them..

VanGo, hope Fedex can find the puppeh bed sooner than later.

swampy, congrats to the Aclolytes, they couldn’t have done it without your brilliant instruction.

red, to bad nellie is a couple thousand miles away, she’d be perfect for the hyperactive Yorkie…

And it’s after 9am and I’m beginning to feel the day, so may head off to bed to watch TV and do puzzles until sleep overtakes me. Catch y’all tomorrow.

I meant to respond to this – sorry it’s so late! I do remember you sharing about it before. It’s a great story, for sure, though it made me shake my head. I’ll just never understand holding on to a grudge for such a long time. Great free entertainment for you and Hubs, though!

I can picture this. It just needs some Benny HIll music to complete the slapstick antics!

That does indeed suck. :frowning: A Wisconsin Badger hit our Ducks’ star quarterback, Dante Moore, hard last weekend and it was worrisome. Luckily, all he suffered was a bloody nose.

LOL, I’m glad, and may I applaud your brevity!

I had a great day with my friend and her husband. The dogs romped and ran, my friend and I had a fine ramble, the cabbage rolls were sublime and we all enjoyed the bread and wine. Good chinwag, too. I can think of few ways I’d rather spend a Sunday. My only complaint is that we sat outside for quite awhile so the dogs could keep playing, and I caught a chill. I’ll warm up soon enough when I climb into bed.

Catch you all tomorrow in the new MMP!

Waves. Too tired to really post. Spent some time in lock-up today, apparently standing on the sidewalk by the capital in Handmaid’s garb is political violence. Or something.

@#$!%

Dr appt for my shoulder tomorrow morning, lawyer and dentist on Tuesday. Potatoes didn’t get harvested today, I got home too late so hopefully I will be bragging about making enough potato soup to feed the village on Wednesday.

ETA: Mom sent me the old copy of her will instead of the latest one, so that needs to be dealt with as well. I don’t care what’s in it, I just want to be sure that I’ve got what is needed to follow her final wishes.

I haz a headache and am going to smoke a few hits and then head off to bed.

Wifey, RN is also SWMBO.

We’ve had Findus for four days. Abbey and Goo hiss at her, but I haven’t heard Abbey growl much. Abbey is up in the cat tree. Goo just jumped down from the higher shelf. Findus is under the table between the couch and CatMom’s chair. Nobody is fighting at the moment. Findus does seem adventurous, and is trying to make friends. ISTM that Abbey took weeks to venture out of CatMom’s bedroom. CatMom says two months. So it’s encouraging that Findus is venturing out after only a few days.

Uh … you okay there, buddy?

This whole thing made me happy to read.

May I ask, how do acolytes get .. made? chosen? voted in? and just curious, what’s the typical age?

In a few, imma round up the easiest-to-get trash, hauled the big bin out, and call it good. Future Shoe has more to clean up, but it’s been a helluva weekend, work wise, and I’m wiped out.

Speaking of, I need to take a multivitamin tonight; two of my.crew said they weren’t feeling well & I think everyone is exhausted from the weekend.

Aw, man, Lil’ Bit is a good candidate for that glow-in-the-dark harness I got for my cat …

Wait, you got arrested?!?! Holy shit.

Okay, catch y’all in the next one. Who’s starting it?

Me! Me! Me! New MMP is here

I was an acolyte for a while. If I recall, the process was “hey, can I be an acolyte?”, “sure, here’s your acolyte kit”.

That may be exclusive to small, rural, low Episcopalian churches.

I thought you became an acolyte by choosing the cleric class in D&D and working your way up the levels.
