Daughter sent me videos of the grands talking to Santa. I don’t know what Roxy told him she wanted because she whispered, but Tobias said he wanted a house! Daughter has no clue where that came from!
But it was neat - apparently Santa had a book with some info on each kid (no doubt gleaned from their moms) so he knew how old Roxy is and where she goes to school and a few other items. Similar info for Tobias. It was really well done. Apparently, “Santa” does this sort of thing every year - hired by different companies or individuals - and he donated his time to the fundraiser where my sister won him. I could tell he’s from Baltimore just by how he pronounced the long “o” sound. It’s a distinguishing tell of a Baltimore accent. (Which I don’t have.)
Sweetie, if you can wrangle a giraffe here, you can keep it in the back yard!
We went to the Tequila Grill in Charlotte Hall for lunch - that tab came to $56 and change with tip. That was for a bowl of black bean soup, fiesta shrimp, and 2 diet cokes. I’m pretty sure we won’t go back there. The food was good, but not THAT good. Salsa’s is much more reasonable.
On the plus side, there was enough food that I won’t be making supper. Maybe a bowl of cereal but no full meal nonsense.
But now, back to my book - I’m almost done reading it, after many, many non-reading days. Because crocheting.
