(Old) When Mom's Away...A Coasterless MMP

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.

Well, it is my morning.

I’m right here, bingeing on SkyMed on my iPad, pinned down by my meezer. It’s easier than getting up and disturbing her to brush my teeth. At least I turned on the electric blanket to preheat my bed a couple of hours ago. Now to negotiate with the cat….

Remind her that the bed is extra-toasty warm …

She doesn’t get to sleep in the room with me~too prone to randomly licking my face with that raspy sandpaper tongue when she gets bored and she is relentless, so I do everything to not let her slip into the bedroom with me when I go to bed. She’s almost as determined to get in as I am to keep her out. Almost.

You just hafta find a particularly icky-tasting face lotion!

Well it’s not pepper jack or earwax(Sp0o.t

^thanks for flopping on my keyboard, dude.
“It’s not pepper jack or earwax, Spot likes both.”

Up earlier than I should be, must make myself drink much water today. I have always liked Mondays.
Going to dr. In a bit to get ear cleaned. Must try and get on medicare so I can find a new eye dr.
Love this thread.

Good morning. I have all the hope in the world today of getting that grant application in, and then if I’m really lucky the MDHHS reports can be completed a day early. I would enjoy some rest time tomorrow after a very, very, very long month.

I am continuing with the Break Up With Your Phone course, it’s great. I’m on Week 2. Cool things have happened. Saturday I played an actual video game (Dorfromantik), something I regularly complain about not having time for. I used to sit and poke around on my phone after I make my bed in the mornings, but this morning I did some sitting (on the sofa) meditation and then took an actual physical journal and wrote down all the things I was looking forward to today. It was a nice change. I also disabled most of my notifications. I have high hopes.

Yes, he can tare. It’s amazing the things he intuitively understands. I’m pretty sure he understands that 1kg = 1,000 grams because he keeps switching back and forth. I’m not as sure about lbs and oz, he knows they are a measurement of weight but the relationship is not exactly logical and he seems less interested.

It’s my least favorite thing about parenting.

We played it at a friend’s house and he took a keen interest. I have since tried to teach him war and Go Fish with varying degrees of success. The games are kind of long to hold his interest.

He’s three (almost four!) This is a great idea!
