Both of my boys have herpes and lysine helps with their symptoms and the flare ups pass more quickly (although one cat seems to respond better to it than the other). I use the same brand as JtC except I use a powder form. I sprinkle it on either wet or dry food and they love the taste. They start meowing and rubbing my legs as soon as they hear me open the container.
They will. They extend that to both subscribers of our insurance and non-subscribers. Saves a claim for the former and good PR for the latter.
I took a half a pain pill before bed and the other half this morning. I’m dosing with generic tylenol every four hours, using a metric shit ton of icy hot and have heat on it right now. I’m finding if I stay ahead of the pain, it’s more controllable.
You are missed as well. Hugs in the meantime.
It is. I’ve known Alem in some capacity or another for nearly 20 years. Tomorrow, I’ll go to his visitation.
If it weren’t for the getting warm thing, I would suggest that you an update via wifi. If it’s getting warm, you may have a battery issue. Is it an android or iPhone?
Irked, nothing exciting there today. Messed around in the studio and am now cuddling a small, reddish doggy. <3
Stay safe and healthy y’all!
Up from naptime, having a Manhattan, Redneck Stirfry, and watching hockey.
The Voices In My Head tell me I’m sane.
subcutaneous anvil?
Does she complain when there is a pea under her mattress, too?

Appendix?
There’s what?
Longer days, I regret to inform everyone, bring warmer weather and all its attendant problems. Snowplow Guy is reliable and that’s all I need in winter. I can use the garage as a refrigerator. Everything is peaceful and silent! What could be better?
Summer brings growing lawns and shrubs and Lawnmower Boy who is far less reliable than Snowplow Guy. It brings shrieking children, shrieking birds, bugs, fireworks, motorcycles, and all the other noisy plagues of our society disguised as “having a good time”. It is the season where every time I go out to do anything at all, like rolling a garbage bin to the curb, I sweat like a pig with a serious hyperthyroid condition.
Evening all. Did mop the floor and did make it to the gym, so a successful day in my estimation. Temperature is still close to 60F at 7:30pm, hope it keeps it up, my gas bill was not a pleasant read today. Have put the washed dishes away and had my usual Mac-n-Cheese so got some of them dirty again right off. Right side feels ok, the test will be when bedtime comes.
rocky, sounds like some nice wall fixtures there. Enjoy your ice cream.
52, to me the best fast food burger remains 5 Guys, with Wendy’s, Whataburger, and Burger King tied for second. Glad at least some stuff is working properly.
Sticky Buns, feel better soon.
Cookie, glad Sadie didn’t fuss much with the vet.
FCM, I do hope that BIL gets the help he needs. Happy eye checking day!
Cat Glove, others have already commented, if the pain persists make him get it checked out soon.
VanGO, glad the car may be behaving now; buying someone else’s vehicle is always a bit of a crapshoot.
And need to get back to some internetting and serious slothing. Catch y’all later.
This is most excellent news. I think that most of the problems will be fixed right there. I sure do hope he doesn’t mess this up too. Some people are very self destructive.
This is super concerning. Reading forward I can see that the group mind is basically saying “Hospital NOW”. I know that hospitals are full of sick people so are the very worse sort of place for your hubs, but please call his doctor to see if he should risk it.
That would be far to easy a solution!
You do know that we have a corner for your kind of people, don’t you? Maybe you should go visit it for a while now!
That’s the important part. He’s standing behind the car. I’m so glad you have AAA for cheap tows.
Well, yeah, that’s what all of the medical folks say, but what do they know?
So, what did you do to yourself? I went back and looked but often get distracted by a seriously bad little cat who won’t stay off my desk.
It’s well known that shorter, darker days make people crabby. Here’s a dawg pic to warm your heart.
And her pup as well.
Feel better now?
I’m happy that the snow has melted off because the glare made it hard to stitch. While I could have turned around and faced away from the glass, I still have a terrible time looking away from the forest. Even now, with most of the trees bare, it is still beautiful.
Some of my new friends have invited me to go to Beckley tomorrow and debut my new garb so I’ll be heading that way in the morning. I do have to try to not get arrested, Hubs has already told me that he won’t bail me out if I get arrested and I don’t want to have to call Mom to bail me again.
She did it last time and hasn’t let me forget about it. She can’t remember what she had for lunch, but she can remember picking me up at the jail in the middle of the night over forty years ago.
There is a locally run plant nursery that I want to visit while I’m there. I can source the Mortgage Lifter seeds online, but I’d rather buy plants. I still have time to start them inside if I move now, but we have Jolene who fucking eats EVERYTHING she can get her mouth on and she’s small and agile enough to get up on top of the fridge so I can’t even start them there.
I could probably set up a heater and grow lamp in the shed, but I’m so very lazy and that sounds like way too much work.
Yes, thank ye muchly, it’s always heartwarming to see my compatriots!
They live in Virginia Beach, VA. Remind me in the summer and I will send you beach shots, cousin says they just love the surf. I understand they are much smaller dogs when they are wet, LOL!
Jack Frost came by while we were finishing up, and EVERYTHING on the lakeshore has a thick coating of glitter.
Even the dumpsters were all, “Heyyyy! We fancy!”
Much sparkliness.
S.M. had a bangin’ playlist going tonight. Lotsa Billy Joel, including deeeeeeeep tracks. Stuff I haven’t heard in ages.
Two or three tracks of his I’ve never heard at all.
I’ve heard rumors of video documentaries about similar circumstances. Available on the internet at various naughty websites.
Oh, darling, you are in for some fun!
That is all good news indeed.
Yeah. We can be friends.
Oh!
I will be acquiring a hopefully temporary new pet … but we all know how that usually goes.
Sadly, Car(e)less Co-worker is having serious issues with his landlord … I don’t know the details.
But I do know that unfortunately, he’s being evicted, along with his parasite roommates.
Who have a bearded dragon.
Who is being (temporarily.. ) rehomed to me.
So now I have a corn snake who is charming (thus named Charm) and a python named Pretzel, the attendant horde of African soft fur rats, a black panther cat named Monkey … and I’m about to host a friendly dragon.
Who eats crickets.
My landlady is gonna shit bricks if she finds out.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.
Puff?
Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 5c/41f with a predicted high of 8c/47f and cloudy. Weather app says “It’s fucking overcast and shitty outside”. Well, it was raining earlier but it’s brightening up now.
Sticky Buns I hope you feel better soon, and Annie adapts to the decreasing lap situation!
That’s good news, I’m glad it wasn’t too traumatic for her (or for you!) and her eye will be ok.
Legend good news for your Mr as well!
That must be a relief to you and FCD, neither of you needs that kind of drama and stress at all. Good to hear that someone’s taken away his meds and will dispense them daily, hopefully they’ll stay long enough to make sure he takes them and isn’t stashing them for later.
VanGo sorry to hear about the car woes but I’m glad you’re getting them fixed and the guy is covering the cost.
shoe I’m sure your co-irker is grateful that you have space to take the bearded dragon, and know enough about retiles to ensure the critter is safe.
Today is my last day of enforced lassitude, and I have to go back to irk tomorrow. So my plans are to go to the gym this morning, then home to make campus lunches (I have enough stuff for 3 meals so I’ll have one portion today and two for campus), I should be attending an online union meeting at midday too. Then this afternoon I’ll make breakfast stuff for campus, and get my hair washed so I’m ready to go out tonight with my friends. Busy, busy, busy!
I’m pretty sure he’d never think that far ahead, but I don’t doubt that they’ll hang around a bit for reasons. He’s got a pacemaker, so they might do a BP check. Or not - I’m not a medical person, nor do I play one on television…
I didn’t need my alarm - I woke in time to tell Alexa to stuff it. OK, I actually got on my tablet and turned the alarm off, but sometimes you just need to tell Alexa who’s boss! Plus I have a reminder set in case I go down the intrarwebz hole before I get a shower. And I need to put my sewing machine in the car so I can get it looked at. It’s going to be a busy morning.
I was dreaming I was in one of the police procedurals that we’ve been watching lately. Not sure if I was a witness or a suspect and when I woke to make a visit to the throne room, I lost the thread of the dream, so I guess I’ll never know. Alas!
Lovely, spring-like day ahead - maybe I’ll spend a little time in the yard this afternoon. All the flower beds need to be raked out. We’ll see how that goes. Till then,
Happy Wednesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 76 and N.O.S. We are havin’ second Spring and the annual pine tree orgy is underway. We shall procure provisions this mornin’ and sloth away the afternoon. Wednesday doin’s over to the church house will take care of sup.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, I must purtify and don attire acceptable for bein’ amongst the great unwashed. Woe!
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
Holland America won’t take my money on their website… what’s up with that? It says I need to call my agent. I don’t have an agent - I did this all myself. And they’re on Pacific time, so I can’t call anyway till after 9 here, which means after I get home from erranding. Dammit. I’m just trying to pay the balance of our cruise before the deadline. Dammit.
Carry on.
Holland America finally took my money - I think it was a login issue. So whew! Didn’t want to hose up our reservation. Now we just need to see what cabin we’re assigned to. It costs more if you want to select your own.
And my alarm just went off - time to get my eyes looked at. Laterz!!
Good morning all. Slept rather better, my right side does ache when I lay on it but much less than before, so I’ll see what another day brings. It’s supposed to reach 75F today, it won’t last but is a hopefully a harbinger to spring. Need to get some spending money in my pocket and do my swimming, might even capitalize on my cleaning the kitchen by sweeping the rugs. Otherwise not much on the agenda.
FCM, glad you got the cruise line to take your money; mine is due this month, and now I remember that I didn’t include that in my 3-month budget, so I have to redo all of that (borrowing a ‘dammit’ from you).
JtC. thanks for the puppers pics, even if it wasn’t directed at me. And do try not to get arrested, you know we are good for the bail but you can’t visit and tell us about the plant nursery if you get arrested.
Hopefully, We Didn’t Start the Fire wasn’t playing while you were on oven duty… And yeah, you didn-t tell us the Bearded Dragon’s name…hope your fellow worker can find quarters quickly.
cookie, great pic of Sadie; she looks like a sweetheart.
OK, onward into Hump Day. Take care all.
No, but “Hungry Eyes” is always a fun one at work.
“Lil’ Buddy.” How friggin’ unimaginative is that?
JtC, I’m good for the bail money if you need it! I’m probably the closest Mumper to you.
I am so damn tired of being sick. I looked up the side effects of what my doc prescribed and they are nausea and vomiting which accounts for my daily activities. I hate that I am not able to get anything productive done right now. Even the work that I do online isn’t working for me because it’s wanting me to do voice work, but I don’t have much of a voice. Ugh.
Ok, complaint over. I am grateful that I have a beautiful poodle sleeping somewhat comfortably on my lap. And a beautiful picture of cookie’s kitty to look at on my computer screen! swoons at kitty
Totally agree with you. I make no bones about my intense dislike bordering on hatred of summer. IMHO it has no redeeming qualities.
Getting taxes done this afternoon. And it’s raining. I have a sinus headache. Have a day.
