Nevermore!
Read too quickly and thought sis had taught bearded dragons elementary science. That is either waaay cool, or terrifying.
Boat project progresses, and car is behaving, so things are ok here.
They couldn’t have been any stranger than some of my own classmates in science.

I was not home at the usual sausage time so after Raven peered in the french doors and didn’t see me, it went to the other windows and found Hubs and tapped and fussed so much that he put out a plate of cut up hotdogs for it.
You and my sister… tho she doesn’t have ravens. She lives in the basement at Mom’s and she’s got 2 sliding patio doors that lead to the front lawn. She’s also got a critter cam to record her little wild kingdom, which includes squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, foxes, and probably other critters I’ve forgotten. She puts out plates of leftovers of all sorts, plus occasional kibble. I believe they let her know when they want to be fed. I wonder what will happen after Mom dies and she has to move out. Whoever buys the house is likely to be confused by the critters begging at the basement door!

I think getting his meds as prescribed could only improve things for BIL.
Yeah, I think everyone but him knows that his biggest problem is his paranoia and whatever else is going on in his head. But here’s hoping the psychiatrist has gotten it all figured out and the home visits will keep him balanced.
I’ve done my evening biking - I always have jelly-legs despite a gentle cool-down. Maybe I don’t cool down enough? Anyway, it’s almost time for us to watch our latest police drama - Scott & Bailey. I never watched Cagney and Lacey, but we still call it English Cagney and Lacey! Because we’re hilarious like that. I think we’ll be finishing season 3 tonight.
So that’s all the excitement at FairyChatEstate.
Howdy Y’all! Home from the Wednesday doin’s over to the church house. Sup was chikin and pasta in a cheesy alfredo sauce, sallit, garlic bread and a desert that was a vanilla custard with a chawklit ganache and a graham cracker bottom. Needless to say, it was all very nummy. We are takin’ a look at the Catechism in group. Haven’t thought about or really looked at that since I was confirmed durin’ the early dark ages, so it’s innerestin’ to look at it again.
Now I shall look at teh intartoobz for a bit and then go beddy bye.
Evening all. Lawn mower is back in the garage and I also took my previous mower that has been sitting in my garage for the past 5 years with me when I made pickup, they’ll use it for parts or scrap it for me, so that’s a little bit more space in the garage. Then 2,000 yards of backstroking and a Cheeseburger prior to putting the garbage out at the curb, so I have been relatively industrious this afternoon. But definitely in sloth mode now.
Been doing my March Budget, owe tax money, also have to pay the balance on my June cruise, signed up for hotel stays in London before and after the cruise, and also may have HVAC and plumbing inspection costs, so money will be flowing out of my pocket pretty fast all month. Should be OK on it, but glad I don’t have too many months like this.
Cat Glove, long day at the hospital, glad it did not appear to be anything serious. But keep an eye on him, anyway… And I heard the local birds for the first time yesterday, they were in fine voice.
FCM, hope the new specs work well; I’ll probably be getting new ones in April myself. And yay! on the discovery; we old dogs can still learn new tricks… And the story of your sister and her menagerie brought a smile to my face…
wet one, good news on the taxes. I’ll be getting a refund back from the State of Ali-bama sometime, so in total I’ll be out is around $300.

God bless chicken noodle soup which I am eating and is agreeing with me!!
Homemade or what brand? Love me some good Chicken Noodle.
Oopsie, nice build, and Lego can be interesting when you write about it.

’ve noticed a lot of stickers on cars around here that say “Rookie Driver” or “New Driver - Please be patient”. Anyone else see these in their part of the country/world?
Yeah, see them occasionally along with “Student Driver” down here.
Cookie, had my teeth cleaned and polished (which is the part I really hate) in January, so I sympathize.
rocky, sometimes I think we don’t look up enough to see all the things going on above us; thanks for the description of the hawks.
JtC, good luck on the tomato acquisition. And how 'bout that scaredy-cat rep! And unless one of the Ravens either says nevermore (drat, Rockybeat me too it) or tries a linebacker blitz on your Hubs, they should be interesting neighbors for some time.
swampy, I will say this, you religious folks do eat well down there.
And that’s all I got, train arriving in LaPlata, Mo and them some internetting, so take care all.

Cat Glove, long day at the hospital, glad it did not appear to be anything serious. But keep an eye on him, anyway… And I heard the local birds for the first time yesterday, they were in fine voice.
I’ve noticed robins for the past week when I walk Nelson. That tells me that spring isn’t far off.
We went out for Mexican food for dinner tonight. I started with six hot wings, followed by two fish tacos a la carte, with two grande Cadillac margaritas. (The tacos came in two corn tortillas. I only ate one tortilla per taco.) Mi Esposa has one fish taco a la carte. She also ordered a small dish of refried beans, which we dipped our tortilla chips in. I’m stuffed like a demon. On the way out, I told our server (Carlos) that my Hispanic friends gave me a nickname. I told him they say I’m a ‘cool narrow’. He laughed.
Up from naptime. Dinner tonight is Teriyaki stirfry with a martini.

I’ve had nothing more exciting to write about than Lego!
)
I get excited about Legos.

Anyone else see these in their part of the country/world?
I do.

???
boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

None of us looked like we could win a fight against an angry squirrel, alone or in a crowd, we certainly didn’t warrant that response.
Maybe he read the MMP about you dropping that scumbag with one blow.

I am so sorry you are feeling so ick. Does your doctor have any suggestions about the nausea? I think @susan was on weight loss medication and she also had nausea. Maybe she might have some suggestions?
This helps me. Not under every circumstance, but still quite helpful: Reliefband
Up, caffeinated, an sheveled. Off to heave.
Awake, dressed, not yet caffeinated. Off to irk
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 75 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I will make a trip to Sam’s this mornin’ to purchase stuff for Shrove Tuesday and take it all over to the church house and store it all. I even made space in one of the fridges for the perishable stuff while there last night. I am efficient! We shall be bears who buffet at the hogtrough GC cause OYKW has a gnawin’ and a cravin’.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and bother, I will purtify and don apparel acceptable for bein’ amongst the great unwashed. How I suffer to feed my co-parishioners!
Happy Thursday Y’all!
It’s a mild, overcast morning. Most forecasts point to rain on and off all day, with the greatest chance between 10-2. So whether I rake or not is still up in the air. That was my big plan for the day - looks like I need an alternative, just in case.
Maybe I’ll investigate things to do at some of our port stops. We’ve booked some excursions, and a few places are pedestrian friendly. There’s also taking a chance that we can grab something as soon as we arrive - that’s what we did in the Falklands. We have 4 stops in Greenland and I haven’t booked anything there, and we really need to explore our 51st state. I crack me up.
That’s pretty much it. I woke several times during the night, mostly for no reason, so I’ll probably be dragging at some point. It appears I’ll be diving into the unknown - kinda like a quest, right? Because my life is such an adventure.
Happy Thursday!!
Thanks, susan and JtC. I am a tiny bit better today. I managed to eat about 1/4 of my leftover sandwich from yesterday’s breakfast. I think that the main issue is that both the GLP-1 can cause nausea and the meds that the doc gave me for my current illness can also cause nausea.
And who doesn’t love a double heaping helping of nausea???
MetalMouse, it was nothing exciting, just the basic Lipton and noodles. As easy as it is to make, I wasn’t up to it and my mom made it for me.
Today I have to appear somewhat sheveled as my mom has a video appointment in a bit that she wants me to attend with her. In the meantime, though, Annie and I will just continue to chill.
Oh, and JtC, yes, I know the money isn’t the problem. But I am the closest delivery person!

the basic Lipton and noodles.
I used to love that as a kid. Can’t recall the last time I had any. Must consider it next time I get groceries…
Afternoon, mumpers! It’s currently 8c/47f with no predicted change, and mostly sunny. Weather app says “Slap my ass and call me a know-nothing wanker. It’s a decent fucking day.” Well, I’d agree with the last part, it’s bright and shiny out there today.

God bless chicken noodle soup which I am eating and is agreeing with me!!
Hurrah for chicken noodle soup, the universal panacea!

How are you feeling?
Crabby, because I had to get up stupidly early! My shoulder’s much better, although I did feel the occasional twinge while I was carrying the laptop and everything else in my backpack this morning. I need to monitor it, and at my return to work interview, the boss suggested I talk to Occupational Health although I doubt there’s much they can suggest.

Anyone else see these in their part of the country/world?
We’ve had them for years. When you’re learning, you have a big red “L” sticker/plate on the car. When you’ve passed your road test, you can swap those for a green “P” plate instead. When I passed my test, P plates were never a thing but I’ve seen them quite a lot over here. The L (learner) plates have to be displayed any time the learner driver is driving the car, and if the learner’s not driving then they should be removed. P plates (probationary driver) can be used for as long as you like.

It’s painful and you’re half-drowning much of the time, and it gives me a headache.
Same here - I have that to look forward to in a couple of weeks’ time. Not fun at all.

He was delivered to the back entrance and surrounded by three guards while they hurried through the door.
He’s heard about you and that cane!
Yesterday was heading towards being pub night, but then I got a text late in the afternoon from one of my friends saying he couldn’t come out after all. He has unpredictable stomach problems following bowel cancer surgery etc so it’s not unusual for him to cancel quite late. So, a bonus night on the sofa for me.
Today I had to come back to irk, and face the morning commute. It wasn’t too bad, I was out of the house in time for the 6.45am bus, then got an earlier train than I’d anticipated but it’s the one that goes a really long route to Big City Station. Still got here in good time, and remembered how to plug my laptop into everything.
I needed to change my password too, and that’s best done on campus so that it syncs up with everything properly. So I am all up to date now. I’ve had a “return to work” interview with the ADHD Squirrel and looked at any adjustments I might need for the future. Not much there, but if I have more problems, I’ll need to go and see our Occupational Health people.
I’m catching up on everything that’s happened over the time I was off, and trying not to do anything strenuous. 'im indoors is coming home later so I’ll need to go and pick him up from the station at some point in the evening. I’m tired already…
Feeling better this morning after a few Excedrin before bed and a good night’s sleep. 34F this morning and the wife wants to go to the Arboretum to look at the spring flower displays (indoor). I’m not a fan of the place, as I figure once you’ve seen the trees and the flowers, what’s the point of going again, but the flowers make her feel the world is still a decent place, so off we’ll go. At least the warmer weather is holding, although there will be a significant dip on Saturday and we may get some rain in there somewhere. But so far it’s blue skies and sunshine.
Good morning all. Slept until 7am and better yet, on my right side with no discomfort, so whatever I pulled there has sorted itself out. Am eating a big bowl of Corn Flakes and a apple to break my fast, and outside of getting my shopping list ready for Firday nothing much constructive is planned. Another good-looking day with highs around 66F, so hopefully the heating bills will start moving in the right direction.

I get excited about Legos.
And you just can’t hide it…
Sticky Buns, I am a Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup guy myself, but always looking for other options. Much thanks.
boo fae, ease back into things, and take care.
Cookie, enjoy the trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs… (I think your old enough to get the refernce…).
And Cereal and milk have been consumed and the apple is nearing the core meltdown level, so belly is in a happy place. Have a good Thorsday all.

MetalMouse, it was nothing exciting, just the basic Lipton and noodles. As easy as it is to make, I wasn’t up to it and my mom made it for me.
When I was a littler kid, I called that “the soup with the green dings.”
Not much going on here in no. Illinois. The sun is out but everything is mud. Today upper 40s, tomorrow 50s, Saturday a high of 32….
