The band’s called Elbow, the guy’s called, err, Guy Garvey. Pretty popular British band, and called upon to sing the Official Song.

The athletes coming in is always my favourite part of the closing ceremony. They are noticeably more relaxed than at the opening ceremony, for various reasons, heh.
And, of course, backflipping Frenchmen.

Yes, it was an alternate mix of “Running Up That Hill,” with slightly different vocals. I loved it, the whole song was played, and I doubt NBC will cut it, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they did, because they can.
