I always found Dropzone to be either deliberately or by nature to fill the role of grouchy but smart and charismatic grandfather that TV/Movies love to make common but are far to fun and rare in reality. He will be greatly missed.
He was a curmudgeon. He loved loved loved chewing me out in a pleasant but stern way.
I’d grin in silence and let him get it all out.
I felt cared for and watched out for.
There’s a real hole in my heart that flew to heaven with him.
I’m sure he bossing the Angels around, right now.
He was an institution. RIP, dude.

The rehab place was some better.
Nothing like my experience in a rehab.
I felt so bad for his situation. I sent him little treats all the time. It really was just a drop in the bucket of what he needed.
