I’m so sorry. I met Mike a few times and he was very helpful to me during a job search years ago. I’ll remember him fondly.

He graciously gave me the benefit of the doubt about something I was, in fact, entirely ignorant of — and, by way of his good-natured humor on the subject, he effectively introduced me to a ton of stuff I then wholeheartedly geeked out for.
Sure wish I’d figured out a way to tell him that.

I remember dropzone’s posts about his SO. I can’t recall the name but things escalated quickly after her passing.
I’ll miss rrading Mike’s posts.

I’m so sorry. The thread about the roommate with the loud TV on Fox news had me wondering how things would turn out; this is a sadly unexpected ending. Hopefully dropzone can come back and haunt him by messing with the volume.

So sorry to hear this. I’d been following his posts and hoped he’d have a happier ending.
And I just now got his name, I think, anyway. He was in an airborne unit? Drop zone?

He was never in the military. His dad was a pilot, I think.
He had a TMI side to him, but he always left big holes in his stories.
I would exasperate him by asking too many questions.
What I know of him he was scary smart and had an uncanny way of telling my mood that always kinda shocked me.
And he could find out anything given enough time to think about it.
He recently found out( maybe 3 weeks ago) The Lil’Wrekker did some child clothing modelling that was only in parents type magazines. And he showed me the pictures and asked me was it her. I was truly amazed, at this
He loved his music and his weird British TV shows.
I remember the screaming moaning woman across the hall. He was so glad she died.
It seemed cruel to think to be glad someone died, til you think she must not have been very happy to be alive, herself.
