OMIGOD! Michael Crawford is being allowed on stage AGAIN?

After what he did to “Dance of the Vampires,” I cannot believe it. “Woman in White” has just become the biggest hit in recent West End history, or (probably), it will sink like a stone vampire.

The theatre message boards will be busy today. Michael Crawford Phanatics think he’s the second coming; but others think he’s a mere mortal.

Wasn’t he seriously injured in a show a couple of years ago?

I hate to do this to you, dude, but…
::phan-girl squeal::

If it ends up being anything like “Dance of the Vampires”, that’s $10,000,000 down the hole.

Ever see that cheese-cracker commercial (I think it’s for crackers) that has a lisping mouse that ends the commercial saying “tho thorry thir”? For some reason Michael Crawford always reminds me of that mouse.

Back in high school we could never get through his Phantom stuff becuase of the way he does those “dramatic pauses” before he hits a high note.

“Let your sooooooul take you wheeeere you loooong tooooo… BEEEEEEEE!”

We dissolved into giggles every time!

Ah, Michael Crawford. The Shatner of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Ah, Michael Crawford. The Shatner of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Aaaah… that would be “Michael Crawford. the Shatner of Andrew Lloyd Weber”.

Hey, he was great in the movie version of FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.

Best post I’ve seen on the subject referring to his role in Dance of the Vampires and now Woman in White(Mods, forgive me): from Count Krolock to Count Forca, Crawford has proven he can play a C*UNT (oops, did my finger hit the right key?)

I didn’t see Dance of the Vampires, but based on the reviews I read, the show was just bad all around, not necessarily because of Crawford.

Personally, I think the Canadian cast recording of The Phantom of the Opera is much better than the London Cast, even though it has less of the show on it.
