Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread

This is pure evil.

The couple faces numerous charges, including human trafficking of a minor child, use of a minor child in forced labor and child neglect creating substantial risk of serious bodily injury or death

Chattel slavery alive and well in 21st century America. This is Trump’s America.

Also…

“Whitefeather”. Name checks out.

Man, I really wish I was surprised by that story.

On the flip side, one time we were in Gary, headed toward Wiscosin, when I abruptly decided to jump offa I90 onto US12. It took us through urban Chicago, up Lakeshore to Waukeegan and then Gurnee. Avoiding the tolls was the lesser part of that decision: it took over an hour, which is pretty close to what one would expect on the freeways, of an afternoon, but on city streets, you know why you are stopped, while on the freeway it is just an endless littany of c’mon, c’mon, c’mon, what’s the damn hold-up.

This evil, but having recently re-watched Avengers: Endgame again, I just had to think: Was it Thor? But then it turns out the game was not Fortnite…

The US Supreme Court has now declared bribery of public officials is legal. Well, you can’t actually call it “bribery”. But you can accept gifts from constituents for actions performed while performing your job as an elected official. Like, accepting a gift from a grateful contractor after steering city contracts his way. It’s perfectly fine AFTER - it’s only bribery if the gift was given BEFORE. So, you see, Clarence is all good! Nothing to see here!

Who do these assholes think they are kidding? :rage:

They may be kidding no-one. But they are pranking everyone.

We now live in a nascent kleptocracy that will become full-fledged after certain bribed tipped public officials suborn the vote counts in Nov. All nice and legal-like.

This is well-trodden ground in country after country.

We later learned that NoobMaster69 is Aaron, not a little kid.

He previously worked in an Apple Store, as seen in Winter Soldier.

We have yet to see Thor and Aaron battle it out. Maybe in a future Marvel project.

That stood out to me as sounding like a Natavie American name, and it seems to beostly true:

It also sounds like a British term for coward

The American term for coward is Josh Hawley.

I thought it’s Republicans. Seriously. Look at how many things and people they’re afraid of right now.

‘Don’t be a Republican!’ is just good general advice.

‘Don’t be a Hawley!’ is much more specific.

ie: Coward

Now, we can see why trump wants to exempt tips from income tax.

Are these justices humans or automatons?

God’s Misfits update: Apparently, a viable defense when facing murder charges is that you have “dominion over all things”.

Jurors, pay heed!

*the article may be confusing sov cit nuttery with anarchism.

I notice one of the defendants is the chair of the local Republican Party.

NBC is now platforming fake news reports about Jill Biden trying to talk her husband into dropping out of the campaign.

Authorities say the boy who died, Deshaun Martinez, was locked in a tiny bedroom closet for 16 hours a day over a month with his older brother as punishment for stealing food in the home at night while their parents slept.

So as punishment starve him to death. Note his mother was previously sentenced to life in prison.

Some (family) trees just bear poison fruit.

ETA: Oh, by “his” did you mean that the defendant’s mother was also sentenced to life for something else years ago, or that the wife of the defendant, mother of the recent dead kid, was also sentenced to life here recently?

If the latter: [Emily Latella] Neveeer miiiind!

I totally read it the former way and only much later thought of the other interpretation. Pronouns: use them wisely or not at all.
