It’s a small town in Louisiana. This is clearly a “good ol’ boys” club looking out for their own.
The rapist runs some sort of “digital branding” company, whatever that is. The local constabulary are one of his clients.
Precisely. This looks like something the DOJ needs to look at.
I think quite a few people need some prison time over this.
I’d like to nominate Ms. Kelley Watt, a grandmother from Oklahoma, who’s made it her mission in life to harass those who lost loved ones in the Sandy Hook mass shooting:
The positive note in the story is her daughter, Madison:
This is exactly how I often describe the last of the true believer MAGA types.
It’s what comes of only ever doubling down, never questioning your closely-held beliefs, profound tribalism, buying into cults of personality, allowing this kind of shit to become your identity, and endlessly devouring information that only supports what you so deeply believe.
It’s the worst case outcome for the relatively simple and intellectually insecure.
Even still, fuck Kelley Watt.
Gently, of course. No need to bring out the cactus just yet.
Watermelon ? Okay. I’m nothing if not reasonable.

Not really in the news, someone copied this video to me on Facebook (I guess you have to be on Facebook to see it, sorry, I don’t know the location of the original). Some trog-bro “patriot” is trying to tear up an apparent LGBTQ+ protest sign that says “NO! In the Name of Humanity, we REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America!” from refusefascism dot org. What follows is priceless.
Here is a non-FB video.
I just Googled “man tears up LGBTQ sign” and it showed me a news article that linked to it.
I can tell it’s Seattle, I even recognize the street.
In the article, I love his republican defense. Spin, baby, spin. But we all saw you, lame ass supposed college boy Luke James Mahler:
“At first I was angered, then I realised this guy has nothing better to do than film me destroying a sign,” he wrote.
“Thank you people for wasting your time watching some random guy try to rip a polyester sign.
“All of the people who are giving me shit clearly don’t know how laminated materials work.”
Yeah, right, buddy, it’s our fault.
How in the hell does that make sense? The other people are the ones that don’t know how laminated material works?
Man, I’m growing weary of crazy people.
Thank for confirming. I thought I saw a Washington state license plate.
Someone in the FB comments mentioned Sandor’s shirt, But I could only make out the word “Patriot.” Anybody able to read the whole thing?
It says Patriot Prayer. If you watch the video carefully while he’s trying to rip the sign, he sometimes lowers the sign and you can read the bottom part.
This is Patriot Prayer:
They seem like lovely folks.
The Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts has stripped a local school of the right to call itself Catholic, not only because it displays Gay Price flags, but also Black Lives Matter flags. So the Bishop is opposed to support for the local black parishioners,
You can also catch a glimpse of the street sign for Pine St. also the bus colors are also matching to King County Metro (Seattle area) there’s also a police SUV that pulls up and there should be the locale name on that too. And the red and grey brick is something I associate with Seattle, and the downtown, and I also feel that garbage can design is Seattle. Some of that could totally be me though.
The video did give me a good laugh.
Florida Man arrested for pretending to be a cop so he can get a discount on his hamburgers.
Once again alt-right fantasies (“I’m tough enough to rip this sign like tissue!”) runs into reality. If he’d laughed it off saying something like, “Man, that’s stronger than it looks,” I doubt there’d be 1/10 the hits. Instead, like always, he doubled down then stalked off, pretending it never happened.
Asking Google about the name brought up this Twitter burn:

Yes, but I also wouldn’t have mocked him. All the laughing, posting, and sharing this video isn’t going to help someone change, it’s only going to make him angrier and cling tighter to his beliefs and the group he identifies with.
