I used to live on the waterfront near the Bremerton-Seattle Ferry, where the sailors would meet up with the underaged girls at the laundromat opposite the YMCA. Nothing about that news article surprised me.

Yeah. There was a MacDonald’s right outside the gate, then the laundromat. That was the nastiest Mickey D in the tri-state area, bar none.
Possibly the classiest McDonald’s is in Tacoma. There’s one there with a Dale Chihuly sculpture, or at least there used to be.
My then-girlfriend and I were in a fast food place in Hollywood one day. I don’t think it was a McDonald’s. It may have been an In-N-Out, or else a Wendy’s. [Edit: I think it was a Wendy’s.] It was about lunchtime. A woman who was obviously making her living on the streets came in, wearing a short dress. She was not wearing underwear. Ask me how I know.
I haven’t been down to Tacoma or Bremerton. But one of the things I liked about Hollywood was how sleazy it is. I appreciate sleaze.

You’d like Callow Ave in Bremerton. Bars on all the windows of the businesses, and the porn theater is across the street from the porn shops (one selling videos and the other selling books).
I dunno. Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Blvd. had the façade of tourism; the sleaze wasn’t especially blatant. Just an underlying sleaze that tourists tended to overlook. I like subtle sleaze. like some ho in a Wendy’s in a tourist area without her knickers.
Oh then you won’t like Bremerton.

Sea-Tac. It is right on the cusp, trying so hard to look classy, but in the end just leaving you feeling like you desperately need the hottest shower you can tolerate.
They’ve got a 13 Coins, which is about the classiest restaurant I can go to without feeling like I’m about to be asked to leave.

I’ve told this story before, but one of my Bros was a criminal justice major. Went on to be a pilot, not a cop; his major was chosen to be easy, not to be useful.

What was the name of that woman who was white, claimed to be black, and worked in some government or university capacity where her bogus ethnicity claims eventually cost her her job and her reputation. Some time in the last 4-6 years. It was an odd name.
