Works best if we can get the anti-vaxxers to bury their own dead, but in the end, somebody has to handle the last body.
Flamethrower, from a distance.
It’s the only way to be sure.
At least 10 cases of measles — eight of which are among school-aged children — have been reported in Gaines County in West Texas over the past two weeks, driving worries of an escalating outbreak.
Of the cases so far, seven have been hospitalized, according to a Texas Health and Human Services alert. All were unvaccinated and residents of Gaines County, which has a population of about 22,000 and borders New Mexico.
If only it were the anti-vaxxer adult idiots who were catching measles rather than their innocent children.
“I didn’t know that the face-eating viruses would eat my children’s faces!”
I’d love to have a reality show where a bunch of these anti-vaxxers are on a cruise ship with someone with one of the diseases, only problem is that the adults are probably vaccinated and it wouldn’t be right to include kids
If I had no moral scruples, I bet I could make serious money selling a “de-vaccination” service to vaccinated adults who think they might catch the 'tiz because their parents didn’t want them to die of typhoid.
It’s not like RFK Jr. would try to stop me.
Just offer to put worms in their heads like The Wrath of Khan, it worked for RFK Jr.
Earlier in the anti-vax movement, I pointed out that we have to keep in mind how many anti-vax parents are themselves fully vaccinated*. They’re forcing their kids to be unvaccinated while not exposing themselves to the same risks.
One thing I remember being interested in is how many anti-vax parents, that is, parents that refused to vaccinate their kids against the things kids are typically vaccinated against, went out and got the covid vaccine for themselves. In other words, are they still against vaccines when they’re the ones that might get sick?
*and, now that I think about it, they are, for the most part, not autistic or showing any of the other symptoms they’ve associated with vaccines.
I personally know a doper who has a wikipedia page. They last posted over two years ago, and I haven’t seen them in over 10 years.
trump’s solution to the increase in disease cases, like the Texas measles outbreak: stop reporting it.
One day in a couple years hence, someone will go visit some red state small town and find it looks like Piedmont, AZ in The Andromeda Strain. And it was never mentioned in any official news.
Thing about typhoid is that it is like cholera: it is not a general infection like a flu. Basic (or slightly better than basic) sanitation is enough to prevent a typhoid epidemic, as it is a type of salmonella.
And making sure your food service people don’t have it.
In the book, it was Piedmont NM. Did they change it in the movie?
Stupid MFers: everyone on this list who voted yes.
Mitch McConnell voted no. A regular profile in courage there. Like if Dr. Frankenstein refused to make hot coco for the monster when he came back from strangling little girls.
That one made me laugh.
Yeah. He’s waited till he’s sure his vote won’t make any difference. Then, probably, he wants credit for it.
The other way: the novel was AZ, the movie was NM
.
One of those totally stupid and unnecessary changes that Hollywood insists on doing.
That’s assuming he remembers making it.
