If she needed help getting up why didn’t the med tech already there help her?
The husband should have been warned about metal on his person - was the chain obviously metal or did it have some sort of coating on it that might have made it appear to be something else?
Sounds like a gruesome way to die, and I’m sure it was traumatizing to his wife who was there at the time.
I got this piece of spam offering me a thing that might interest someone else but not so much me. Naturally, I assumed the link was bogus, so I examined it
Home run hit by a high school player during batting practice hits a firefighter’s car which was parked next to a nearby fire station. He retaliates by flooding center field, which causes the game to be cancelled.
“There are nine other leagues who play here, and we’re not the only ones that hit home runs. Personnel from the fire department have been told consistently by park staff that that is a dangerous area to park and leave your vehicle," he told the station. “I went (to the fire station) and talked to the captain, and he admitted that he did it. And he said he wanted to get our attention.”
What a fucking dipshit. So the moron was warned repeatedly not to park there because it’s dangerous, did so anyway, and his truck got hit. So he had to ruin things for a whole bunch of high school kids who didn’t do anything wrong in retaliation for the consequences of his own stupid actions.
The asshole should be fired and sued for the cost of any repairs to the field that might be necessary. Someone with judgement that bad shouldn’t even be running a snack bar, let alone supervising firefighters charged with saving lives.
