I’m surprised I can’t find a single picture of the aftermath.
I believe the legal term for that is “vandalism”.
And, probably some type of misuse of city resources violation as well.
The careless expenditure of county funds or resources above and beyond the level that is reasonably required to meet the needs of the county, or the consumption or use of county resources that is not authorized
The improper use of county resources in a manner contrary to law, policy or rules, or the improper use of one’s position for private gain or advantage for himself or herself or any other person.
Yeah, what would have happened if there was a fire during that stupid little stunt, and they needed the pumper truck there for it?
I remember the incident, but I didn’t remember the man who wrote a “farewell message” to his wife and kids in his blood. He survived.
The horrifying but also sweet part seems to be he had enough of his consciousness left to reach out and squeeze her hand and say goodbye to his wife and tell her he loved her before he went unconscious. So heartbreaking. (after they had failed while trying to pry him loose). I keep seeing it in my head. It’s a fear of mine (MRI machines).
Yes the MRI technician was absolutely at fault but that guy should have seen multiple signs warning of the danger of the magnets.
Perhaps the sensible approach for MRI machines is to install a metal detector at the far end of the corridor approaching the room and not allow anyone through until all the metal objects they have on them have been checked at the hazardous objects desk. For that one woman who was injured by the metal-bearing butt plug, it would have been an awkward moment.
I’ve had several MRIs and as I recall there were numerous signs and floor markings pointing out the dangers having any metal as you approached the MRI room.
Exactly. The guy wearing the twenty pound chain wax partially at fault.
The non-apology apology of the year.
Again, can his ass, give restitution to the school. That will help maintain your “relationship with the community” and would ensure “that future disruptions are prevented”.
Should we have a hybrid Deranged/Evil/Stupid thread?
never mind
Just when we think the world can’t top [this particular] craziness, the world says “Here, hold my beer. Hey y’all! Watch this!”
May or may not be dead.
I’m waiting for confirmation from the Maldives Press-Citizen and The Onion.
About the MRI guy:
The “People” magazine article indicated the woman asked the tech to retrieve her husband to help move her. Looking at the facebook pics (BLM shirt), it does appear she might have been rather large.

There’s something about Oklahoma:
“Remember there was a plea deal that was struck in 2009, way before I was in office, way before Trump was even considering it to be in office, way before Pam Bondi was office, way before Kash Patel was director,” Mullin said. “2009, there was a sweetheart plea deal that was made underneath the Obama administration with Epstein, and that sweetheart has not been exposed.”
“No, that’s not right,” Tapper said.
“It’s not? Well, when was the case heard?” Mullin asked.
“It was 2008… The U.S. attorney at the time was a guy named Alex Acosta,” Tapper said. “He was a Bush appointee. He went on to become President Trump’s secretary of labor. It all took place in 2008.”
“Who was in office at the time?” Mullin asked.
“2008, George W. Bush,” Tapper said, reciting a well-known fact.
But Mullin continued to insist on incorrect information.
“No, 2009 is when the case came out, and it was — and Obama was in office at the time,” Mullin said.
“It’s not true. It’s not true,” Tapper said.
Mullin doubled down later in the interview.
