For anyone who gives a damn, here is the full discussion that lead to my complaint.
I made the claim that slavery was capitalism, not genocide.
In post 232 on page 5 of this thread Iandiiii claimed that

I replied in post 243:
"How many million? Does it come close to 12 million? If not then the numbers don’t equate. If it was close to 12 million then was it done in the space of 4 years? If not then the scale does not equate.
There has been no human atrocity EVER that comes near to the holocaust and to suggest that it is less than a singular event is to minimize the magnitude of it and I’m surprised that you would say otherwise."
Iandyiiii replied in post 244:
“Many, many more millions than 12 were killed by the brutality of slavery in the US…”
In 247 I asked for a cite for that
In post 253 I provided a cite and numbers:
I then compared the number of slaves brought to the US (388,000) divided by years of slavery in the US (341) and came to an average of 366567 who could have been “raped, brutalized and murdered” per year.
I just rechecked my numbers and holy fuck!!! I was way wrong and I have no idea how I was that wrong. Fuck me - major mea culpa on that! What did I do? the actual number is 1138 per year. Jesus do I feel stupid. I choose to blame it on the cat:rolleyes:
Either way
1138 raped, murdered, brutalized per year in American slavery
3 million per year during the holocaust (12 million divided by 4… see I can do some math)
I went on to say, sarcastically (though in retrospect not as obviously as I had thought) that the two were clearly equivalent.

This is clearly wrong. There were not “a few tens of millions” of slaves - cumulatively.
Even my evidently shitty math can tell me that. Less than 1200 per year coming in will not reach tens of millions. Unless they bred like rabbits crossed with mice. And few died.
In post 257 (for anyone still reading now that my credibility is shot) I… said "That’s only the ones who came by ship. Many more were born in America, and all were subject to rape and brutalization.
You might feel that killing someone immediately is way worse than chaining them up and raping them for the rest of their lives, but I don’t. They’re both terribly evil."
He is still insisting that American slavery is as bad or worse than the holocaust (because the Nazis killed them all outright?)
In post 267 I said "Do you REALLY think that 400,000 slaves (that translates into an average of 1173 per year bloomed into 12 million - especially given the incredibly harsh conditions under which they lived.
For fuck sake they are humans not rabbits." Yay!!! I got the math right!!!
I went on to list various 20th century horrors that claimed many more lives and were at least brutal as American slavery. And that to equate American slavery to any one of them was to minimize them in terms of scale and magnitude.
Then in post 283 Dipshit chimes in and starts by quoting me:
I said that less than 400,000 slaves were transported to America during the 341 years of slavery
Dipshit Refutes me by saying that the 400,000 only refers to slaves transported to America.
I’ve always said American slavery. I’ve always referred to American slavery because we are talking about SLAVERY in fucking AMERICA.
Then because my saying 400,000 slaves were transported to America didn’t jibe with Dipshit’s 400,000 slaves transported to America he cryptically warns me of my dismissal should I not get my numbers right.
TLDR Look at post 283 of the thread in discussion and see if anything I said failed to mesh with what he told me I should be saying.
