Some of the things he said were real, about who and what he is, but he was also trolling like a motherfucker. He posts on another board, (and in fact starts the very same topics so its not hard to spot) and the comparison made it very clear what he was about.
This thread is supposed to help us out with that. It’s got a lot of noise, but most of the trolls end up being called out here sooner or later. Once you know, stop. Once you stop, it’s like they’re not even there.
You know what works better than stomping them? Not feeding them. Hygiene. Housekeeping. If you have roaches, put the food away; wash the dishes. Stop dripping faucets. Most will die or leave for greener pastures, and the rest will be a low-grade annoyance suitable for intermittent stomping.
So yes, trolls are a kind of infesting vermin. Periodic bug-bombings are good, but they are emphatically not the best or first answer.
Don’t feed the vermin.

Yes, it is horrible when people jump into a new message board full of piss and vinegar, insulting everyone and then wondering why they aren’t welcomed with open arms.
No, you’re smart if you “know” the “truth” without having to resort to things like facts, cites, news, or any kind of reporting about anything by any kind of media, because all that reality-based shit is controlled by liberal scum.

Thread cornfielded. Must have been a sock. I’ve exposed, I think, one sock in my many years here. My sockdar sucks, but I try my best not engage with the trolls in the first place, so I often don’t get to know them.
It only leads to heartache anyway.
It’s not difficult when they keep using the same talking points or refuse to alter their posting style.
The thing is that those talking points are pretty much universal across the alt-right community. I obviously misjudged him as being an idiot and not a deliberate troll, and the facts proved otherwise, but it’s because they all say the same shit, and some of them actually believe it. Maybe this one did, too, but you don’t come back as a sock except to troll.
I feel like we’ve had a productive week.
