When someone tells me to STFU, I assume they actually would like if it I would shut the fuck up. That’s not trolling. It’s kinda a dumb post, as I will not listen, and you’ve not rebutted my point, but it’s not trolling.
If by “trolling” you just meant “normal pit posts,” then I’ll gladly say I was mistaken. To be honest, I included you as much for what you said as because you are on the same side as me politically. That way, it doesn’t seem like I’m ganging up on Clothahump.

Interesting. It was a post in GQ asking what people would be like if their genders were switched–would tall men be tall women, and would hairy men be hairy women? It wasn’t a trollish question, but a weird, unanswerable one. The fact that it was disappeared so quickly shows that it must have come from a recognizable sock. (It sounded pretty femmejeanny.)

I was afraid my response to the astrology zombie (esp. one of psjt’s lines) would be seen as threadshitting. So I’ll post my reply here instead:

Please tell me that, upon your rereading it, that it doesn’t actually make sense to you, so that I can maintain some hope in your ability to walk down the street.
Or are you really trying to reduce something like gravity to a matter of faith? Do you do your chart or throw the i ching or pray to the saints that you’ll fall flat on your face when you trip?
I’ve had my eye on Abashed for awhile now. His questions, almost all of which are about cosmology, seem innocuous on the surface, but sometimes a true troll will start off sounding like a reasonable poster, but even from the start there will be something that is…off about their posting style. Eventually the Dark Side will bubble to the surface, and their posts start to become more confrontational (if not incoherent).
Here he gets a bit passive aggressive towards some people asking him to clarify his question. We shall see…
I think it’s possible he’s just curious and delighted to have found somewhere where the questions will be answered without him having to google and evaluate the many possible sources.
Or he’s a fluffy pink troll who likes to trigger quiet and informative threads.
