I’m sad** Reddy**'s gone. From his PM’s I know he wasn’t a troll. He’s a troubled kid who misplaced his anger. A few people got a glimmer of that, but mostly everyone dumped on him. I do see why; he was an offensive pain in the ass. He also needs help. I don’t want to post it, but if there’s a way a mod can get my email address to him I’d appreciate it.

I’m not going to judge anyone here, and kudos to you for trying to help. But what I will say is that mitigating circumstances and excuses only go so far. Reddy was given warnings and just ignored them. He was advised multiple times not to start so many stupid threads every time he had a brain fart, and he should have had a hint anyway from the number of them that were ridiculed, locked, or moved to the Pit. Yet after being told in this very thread to stop doing this, he seemed to increase his output and posted three more the very next day, at least two of which were as stupid as anything he’s ever posted. I don’t wish him ill but I’m not sorry he’s gone because he was disruptive as hell to the board.

Quatloos you can buy with dollars but are only good for cosmetic items, gold you have to earn from quests but can be used for in-game powerups. Then there’s gems, which sometimes come in loot boxes and can be exchanged for heirlooms, and shards, which is too complicated to explain, but used mostly to grind rep.
I don’t think incarcerated felons have access to the internet.

IMHO a time-out might have done him a world of good, but he likely had already used up the full supply of moderator forbearance during some of his more abusive outbursts.
I genuinely hope he’s okay - there were a lot of warning signs that he was in a personal downward spiral - but I won’t miss the endless paranoid ranting here.
